Is anyone aware of any resources for fitness boxing? My daughter has been doing it at Title Boxing Club in the northeast for several years. The only ones near The Villages are Tampa or Orlando. None of the recreation center fitness clubs or even Genesis offers it.

I don't know what "fitness" boxing is, but if it's anything like real boxing, then a person can burn up an enormous amount of calories in a short amount to time and get into EXCELLENT physical condition.

I boxed some on an amateur level back when I was about 20 years old and I was in the best physical condition of my life... even better than when I was in the Army. So, it's great exercise.

The drawback is that in regular boxing, you are getting hit in the head, and repeated blows to the head are not good for you even if the boxers use the big padded gloves.

So, what's different about this "fitness" boxing? Do the participants box each other, or do they just hit punching bags?
