Email & Text Scam

I received a text message from Ocala Dermatology and then an email saying I had a balance I needed to make a payment as soon as possible. I called Ocala Dermatology and was told this was a scam. Always check your providers Number, call them directly. Never use the bogus number they provide in the text or email. It's probably a scam. Never click on the links provided.

ok, how odd this is? i just got not only a text, but a letter saying i owe "US AcuteCareSolutions." i have no idea who this is, what doctor, or why i got the text. i call & it either rings forever, or ends with a beep, with no option to leave a msg. after researching online, i learned this is a scam.

I never call a phone number when I don't know who I am calling. It could be an overseas call for which you can be charged a huge amount on your phone bill. If this happens, your phone provider cannot remove the charge.
