How do I get information about volunteering at a shelter or something else to help these dogs? I have lots of experience with dogs but cannot adopt one right now.

DebfromMaine has recommended a wonderful shelter nearby that needs volunteers to give love, talk to, and walk dogs. You can contact her with a PM (private message) and she can tell you more, or you can look online at the shelter website, or you can go visit on Thursdays.
