Thanks to the input I received from this forum, I'm getting ready to order Direct TV and want to take advantage of their referral offer of $100. If I provide Direct with the account number of a current customer that referred me, they will credit both of us $100 over 12 months.

I sent a similar pm yesterday to another member, but I haven't heard back and I want to get this order behind me. If you are interested, you'll need to send me your account number.

If interested, let me know. I plan on placing the order in about an hour with or without the referral. Obviously, I'll use the first response I receive.

I got quite a few PM's and the first one arrived minutes after my post, so he is the lucky one. This was a true example of a win-win.

I am also thinking of ordering DirecTV - does anyone know if this $100 offer can be combined with the current promos of >150 channels for $24.99 for the first year?? If so the first person who sends me their acct# will get the credit. You can email me at john@ridem.ca if you prefer.
Thanks,
John A.

friends of ours were told they could get both (the referral $100 and the 24.99 with the rebate). They were later told they could get one or the other, and "sorry if they were misinformed."

This would be similar to our experience of being told the wrong final monthly bill price.

I was very specific in my questions, wrote down the answer, and when the bill came and was different than what I had been promised and I called back, was only told (by the customer service rep and then a supervisor) - that they were "sorry I was misinformed."
