Has anyone tried "Direct File" the new government tax filing site.
Florida is one of the 11 states where it is being tried.

It's not free. Taxpayers are paying for it. I would rather use TurboTax.

Exactly. And, a lot of those who use the website, will be paying no taxes, but will be receiving money from the Government.

It has a lot of restrictions. No pension/retirement income, low AGI, low interest levels etc. I have been using the free Cash App service for the last few years without any problems.

It’s for very basic returns....nothing complex. I still use a CPA strictly out of loyalty and friendship

Thank you, love it, wondered if it ever dawns on people that "someone" pays for all those "free" government conveniences. I once lived in a small town where the entire population so excited the city fathers actually negotiated with a highway sign company for a highway sign to THANK the federal government for the NEW BRIDGE they were being "given"... ??? If you tried to explain to them, they'd never "get it"....LOL !
