Is there a nearby storage facility that has SMALL cubby-hole spaces for misc stuff kept here year after year? Most storage places have spaces that are larger than needed (e.g. 5' x 10' x high) and are $100+ per month.
I'd think it might be an interesting market for such a place? hmm...

$100 plus is climate controlled. You really don't want to have a small unit with no AC as it will be extremely hot in there during the summer and extremely humid during the rain season.

See Post No. 2. According to their website, they have 5 foot by 5 foot climate controlled storage for $26 per month.

The larger space quotes that you’re seeing usually means that the smaller ones are rented. I would just do an extensive search. I’ve seen some now literally renting lockers like in high school!

What would be an example of what you need to store? Personally, we have two large locked metal cabinets in our garage for stuff we need to store. Anything else like extra clothes and linens we put in storage totes.
Works fine for us and we even rent our place out for a couple months per year so it's not in anyone's way.
