According to Golf The Villages (http://www.golfthevillages.com), it is still $135.92/year

Yes---when it's me and I heard it from my cousin's landscaper's babysitter's uncle's barber. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

What’s wrong with that - there are hundreds of posts about bad course conditions, theoretically, I hard, trail fees should go 100% to executive maintenance.

Doubt it but if it occurs, would like to see an increase, if 100% of that money goes into the districts buying a sod farm and not re-juvenating the old varieties of grasses that were planted 20+ years ago and hiring the greenskeeper from Glenview.

The key words here are heard it from a local realtor, not a Villages Sales Agent, someone maybe wanting to steer you to another locale??

I'm not sure why folks are giving you a hard time.

Who could possibly more credible in TV, than a local real estate agent?

It is odd that no one has mentioned that it is the Amenity Fee that has increased to $195.00 and not the Trail Fee. Help the original poster out by giving them correct information rather than belittle them for asking a question.

Thread is titled “TRAIL FEE” amenity not in OP, which that fee comes in print every month. Not like a yearly trail fee

But, 100% of that 12% could be about 19% give or take.

Very possible. I "heard" the amenity fee on new homes is now $195

The $195 is the amenities fee.

But did you "hear" it had been lowered to "$195 per year" rather than the monthly payment we all make?

For those struggling to make sense of this:
- The phrase "I heard" is typically followed by an incorrect statement
- The yearly trail fee, according to the official website and a recent purchase, is $135.92 + tax
- The monthly amenity fee on homes sold after 1 January 2024 is $195 per month (this can be found in a letter presented at the 10 January meeting of the VCCDD)

Not trail fee, the amenity fee for all homes sold starting January 1 was set at $195

Our country? Discussion is about a local amenity fee and/or trail fee. If any increase and it is used properly, we can read a lot less posts about golf conditions. At the rate(s) golf courses are going downhill, only places left to play will be the ultra high end public and/or private courses. In Palm Beach County munis now charge $125 and up and very few privates left which members pay at least 20K a year to use.

At least the OP had the decency to say, "I just heard". Most posters just state what they heard as if it were fact.

"Trail" Fee? - For the privilege to drive a golf cart on paved cart paths that are rarely in need of repair. Sounds like a great deal! :)

I sometimes wonder who came up with the idea of a trail fee. Seems like a pain for the starter shack. No idea how much total revenue it pulls in though.

So you pay to drive your cart on a paved path. If someone jumps in the cart with you, they pay too. One cart, two trail fees. What a deal!

I agree with you, but unfortunately we don’t live in TV anymore. This is one reason I was wondering why the Executive coarse are getting so bad 120,000 people paying HOA fees & golf courses are so bad.

I enjoy some lighthearted joking on here, but I do think it's unfortunate when people are mocked and belittled for asking in an awkward or "rumor" type format ! But, that's "social" (???) media for you. People can really let their meanest tendencies out when they can post on any of the "social media" platforms !
