I was over Trailwinds Village looking at plants in Lowes. Lots of construction going on. What stores/restaurants are these construction projects going to become?

I think a Home Depot across the street, a Panda Pavillion, a Target, an Outback Steakhouse, CVS, & lots more apartments.

The Home Depot and a CVS are almost ready to open, but they are on the other side of Powell Road, not in Trailwinds Village.

Start watching Gold Wingnut videos on YouTube. He lays it all out using his drone to show all new construction.

Rather would just have the information listed rather than a long, boring air tour with ads.

Apologies, it will be a Panda Express, not a Panda Pavilion. Fast, casual, Chinese

Made who knows how long ago, why get this when nearby is Chinese food made to order?

I look forward to Target & Home Depot. I thought Outback was in financial difficulties.

Is that Home Depot by CVS or Targets on Powell Road?

Home Depot is behind CVS. They should open this summer.
Target will be next to Lowe's.
Target is still doing underground utilities. No walls up yet. It will be quite some time before they open.

I drove across 466A this morning. I'm glad this didn't end up in the hands of the developer. It's providing much needed commercial alternatives as well as housing for workers here in The Villages. Imagine if it had ended up just endless houses with a strip mall with a Subway and nail salon.

I agree. Nice mix of businesses. A big asset for the area.

The Powell Road/466A corner is the Home Depot, as is the CVS. The Target is next to Lowes, on the north of 466A & east a bit from Powell.

The same entity that owns the Lady Lake Outback is building the new store just to the west of the ABC Store in Trailwinds. Once that opens (projected mid December), the Lady Lake location on 441 will close, and many of the staff will have the opportunity to transfer.

Wow! That is interesting. I wonder if they: expect more business at the new location, or expect less competition from other restaurants, or expect a new building to have lower on-going costs, or some combination of reasons?

I can't answer that, but I do know the 441 location is not doing well financially. For probably a number of reasons.

So you prefer someone to do the work for you, make it short and sweet and incur all the expenses needed to hand it to you?
