We dealt with Bonnie Colangelo upon a recommendation from here on TOTV and were not disappointed. She was easy to get ahold of each time I communicated with her or replied quickly when not available. She wrote us with ASI and during the process got our quote lowered twice resulting in a $134 drop. I'm not going to state my quote because each person has a number of factors that effect the price, such as credit report, home value and electives. Here is her information:

Bonnie Colangelo
Licensed Insurance Agent
Ph. 352-753-2500 ext.2264
Fax 877-749-5167
bcolangelo@aaasouth.com (bcolangelo@aaasouth.com)

p.s. I'd tell you to say I referred you to her, but that would probably result in a hike in the rate. :1rotfl:

We have ours with ASI through The Villages Insurance in Spanish Springs. It runs us around $760 for our Gardenia. We have been very happy. Besides the Home and Vehicle Policies we also have an Umbrella Policy with RLI.

Contact Rita Canty, one of the owners of a Brightway Insurance office in Jacksonville. As independent agents, they write homeowners insurance for nearly all the companies who currently issue policies in FL. It was nice dealing with them as I felt they had the broadest offerings when it came to insurance companies.

Ours is same company and coverage, including the umbrella. We also are happy with them.

We have ASI and I "guess" I'm happy with them... So far, the only thing to be happy about is that they take my premium payments with no problem...

Not to state the obvious here, but I think the test is how they will perform when [and if] I submit a claim.

Anyone have that experience with their homeowners insurance ??

One other note... I was told [don't remember who told me] Allstate did not write homeowner policies in Florida. I recently discovered Allstate does, in fact, write homeowner policies here. I will be moving to Allstate, once my current policy expires.

I will be moving to Allstate, once my current policy expires. We have been Allstate multi-policy holders for many many years and we wanted to go with Allstate in TV so we could have picked up the multi-policy discount. When we attempted to get the coverage we could not.

So here's the scoop about Allstate... if your TV home is going to be your primary residence, Allstate will cover you. If your TV home is going to be your secondary residence, they will NOT cover you. Being the home we are about to close on will be secondary for at least the first year, we had to go looking elsewhere for insurance.

Oh well, you would thing that Allstate would treat customers they have had for more than 40 years a little better wouldn't ya? :sigh:
