I will be having a Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump installed in my lanai.
Is there any maintenance problems associated with the concealed air handler unit?
One contractor told me that the squirrel cage blower needs to be cleaned periodically and it costs $700 to clean it because the whole unit has to be taken apart to clean it.
Has anyone recieved the $2,000 tax credit for installing the heat pump system?

I cleaned my squirrel cage blower in about an hour. Crazy to pay that much to do it. YouTube videos shows how.

Is the tax credit still applicable for 2024?

Munn's installed our Mitsubishi mini split "dehumidifier" 4 years ago, with a flush mount ceiling unit, and have had no problems. We have a maintenance contract for it, plus the main house unit, with Sunshine. I have them come out twice a year - just before the hot summer season and late fall, just before needing heat.

I don't remember anything about tax credits "for heat pump systems" - maybe something offered after 2020.
