I just received a new Apple Watch SE as a prize. As usual with electronics, all user stuff online. Trying my best to understand functions etc. basic stuff ok, but I think I’m missing a lot of functionalities.

Wondering if there is an Apple club or such to attend and learn. TIA.

Good luck you’ll need to put it on charger everyday comes to full charge in about 30min.
Health tracking is done by the iPhone health app. I’ve had mine for 2 years still learning.

Yes there is an apple club, and as soon as I find the link to the 3000+ clubs I will post it.

Don't know. Probably.

Barnes & Noble carries a book "Apple Watch for Senior Dummies" that is a good resource. Has helped me get acquainted with my Apple Watch. If you have an iPhone they also carry "iPhone for Senior Dummies" that explains extensively how they work together, how you can use your apple watch app on your iPhone to get the most out of your watch, etc. Good stuff.

Apple Stores have free classes in their stores on their products and services. You can look online for class topics and times. They have classes on their watches. I believe the closest Apple Store is Orlando.

Below is a link to the classes at the Apple Store at Millenia Mall in Orlando.

Today at Apple - Calendar - Millenia - Apple (https://www.apple.com/today/calendar/millenia/?sn=R053)

It’s fun for me to look at the Apple goodies if in the store anyway. Millenia Mall is a nice mall with restaurants and stores so you might make a half-day event out of your trip.

Also you can Google for most functions. Or phone Apple tech support you are under warranty and they want you to be happy.

Do you have an iPhone? Everything is setup using your phone not the watch.

The question is do you have an iPhone? It mirrors your iPhone, pairs with the phone, it walks you through all the steps as soon as you turn it on. If you don’t have an iPhone? I have no clue but on the apple website they have a video tutorial on nearly everything so I’d check there. Or YouTube.

I'm the OP. Yes I have an iPhone. I did Google, and youtube Apple Watch info re functions and such. Was helpful. The app of the AppleWatch on the iphone makes the difference for setup etc. I love the sleep function that monitors your sleep thruout the night. Shows your different stages - very interesting.

Thx all for your feedback.

There is a free Apple Watch user guide that you can download in Apple Books. It is pretty good for covering the watch functions.

There is an online Apple forum, and one of the sub forums is strictly devoted to the watch. There is also a few FB Apple Watch sites. You can always chat with a very knowledgeable Apple rep,

If you already have an iPhone and keep it with you all the time, what might be reasons to get an Apple Watch?

Health monitoring, for one...

Not having to fish out your phone...

More than a few apps available on the watch.

Thyat said, I don't have one (I prefer mechanical, self winding watches), but my kids have them and they use them all the time...

My family are trying to convince me to change to Apple. Just not sure at my age? Plus I have the guy phone that is waterproof and won't break when you drop it.
