The AXIS Media Control, which enables you to view live image streams in Microsoft Internet Explorer, could not be registered on your computer.

I got the same message. It happened a few weeks ago, Before that everything (the camera) worked fine. I did nothing to change anything.
I'll try what was suggested.

I thought when I got that message there was a yellow line at the top that I clicked on and it added the add-on for me.

thank you z ... in yesterday's technologically challenged day that i was having i never let the attempt to load run its path. BUT i did this morning after reading your response - and the cams now display on my 'puter:kiss:
almost sorry i could peek at the sunshiney tranquility of both squares this a.m. - it is another cloudy, gray day in jersey where the shore is anticipating a deposit of a nuisance inch of snow.
thanx again for the assist.
tom - hope you got your cameras tuned in!

BUT i did this morning after reading your response - and the cams now display on my 'puterI'm pretty sure that your not having the ability to use the cams before had nothing to do with what anything you did or didn't do. Prior to this morning I had tried everthing under the sun that I could possible do without success, and that is quite a bit of time and effort.
SUDDENLY this morning I finally got a pop-up when trying the cams that asked me for permission to install new software that the website was trying install. Naturally I responded yes and low an behold... SUCCESS!
I think the problem all along was with The Villages website server that needed fixing, and now it's been done. I'll bet you'll find that most everybody that had problems will now be able to view the cams.

Same scenario for me! Had tried the webcams a couple times in the past to no avail. Saw this thread yesterday and tried them again - allowed the AXIS Media deal to download and......VOILA!!!

I agree with this assessment. I could not get this to work with IE before this AM. The site worked with other browsers I use, but not IE. I have not tried again since this thread started, so I am not sure when exactly it changed. This AM it works as advertised. Prior to that I never got the option to install.
Interestingly it still does not work on the 64 bit version of IE I use.

Agree that it was most likely a server side issue.
