I'm looking out my kitchen window watching the snow fly around on top of the frozen Sandusky Bay - and wondering if we'll be able to drive to TV this weekend!

Sorry, guys, but I just looked out my window.

The sun is shining brightly, there's a very light breeze. The temperature on my lanai (north side of the house) is 61.1, at the front (south side) is 66.2.

I haven't seen snow in six years (except on the mountains in Alaska in 2007)!

Still, we're struggling with below-normal temps! :pepper2:

Below normal temps and light snow in central OH right now. Wonderful. Can't wait to get back down to TV for a while next month.

Hey swr - you just keep on struggling with those low 60s temps down there! Hee-hee!! :1rotfl: Wanna trade?

Bill :)

Looking at a bright blue sky with a few little puffy clouds, palm trees soaking up the sunshine, temperature 61 on my lanai where I've been sitting and reading - lazy me

Sitting at the dining room table and looking at our neighbor trying to unlock his van doors...the locks are frozen and his key won't turn to unlock doors. It is not that cold out here..26 with wind chill of 14. Hometown in Iowa is 20 degrees with wind chill of 4.
Wish I was where they didn't measure wind chill!

Ahh the memories of all that.....snow and cold!!!

I'm looking out to see blue skies with light clouds higher up in the sky. There is a breeze blowing and the palm trees are gently waving back and forth. The temperature is 62* and it's just past 5 p.m. here!!! Paradise........

Looking out from my slider in the livingroom......it's 61 and a bit windy outside. The palm tree fronds are swaying sometimes gently, sometimes not so gently.

Haven't been in snow for eons, well one Christmas in Chicago, but that doesn't really count...and though it seems wonderful in my memory, I'm sure it wouldn't be like that in actuality...:cold:

We are looking at about 6 inches of snow in Kalamazoo MI and another 2-4 expected overnight. Finished blowing the driveway just in time for the plow to finally come by and fill in the bottom again Grrrr.:cus: We got the hitch installed on the van to pull a trailer so that we can take some of our stuff to our new house in Buttonwood and escape the winter for 6 weeks!:a040:

Just stepped outside. Nighttime temp. not too bad at 53, but...

It's a rainy night in Georgia. Lord, it feels like it's raining all over the world.

Sitting here thinking how nice it must be to open a sliding door and feel 60 plus degrees. When really it is just plain cold and light snow expected. I just can't hardly wait to head south to TV:pepper2:

At home now -- just saw the one of my suburb's salt trucks come down the road to put salt down. Most of Chicagoland just saw nuisance snow that started around 3:30 -- just enough to mess up the late afternoon/evening drive home :(. High temps. will not go above 29 for the next week in Chicago :(.

We haven't seen any new snow yet today. I know it is on the way though. I am in complete envy of our best friends that are staying in our villa! We had to leave on 1/4 and they are staying on for another 2 weeks. Next year things will be SO different.

I'm looking out the window and see a light blanket of snow that barly covers the cars and street. I'm looking at maybe a half inch deep. Not the 3-5 inched predicted. BUT I"M NOT COMPLAINING.

Yes, I am the snowbird who actually misses the snow...especially during the holidays. Growing up in CNY where the average winter snowfall is 150 inches, we kids always enjoyed the outdoor activities in the winter months. As an adult, I lived in Chicagoland where there was more biting cold than accumulated snow and I missed the white covering to the dead, yellowed lawns and bare trees. Now as a retiree, I am in TV for the 5 coldest months up North. I love the myriad of activities offered here and, of course, the FL sunshine and partake in both. But I truly miss the change of seasons and the renewal I get from it every 4 months. I do not feel that planting different flowers in the roundabouts periodically or some (unseasonably) cooler/cold temps qualifies. My husband totally disagrees as he is an avid golfer and treks down here in September to play. Don't get me wrong, I love The Villages for what it is to me right now -- a second home where I take a wonderful vacation each year. I just miss a different type of home, that's all. :cold:

Looking at a golfer trying to find his ball in the water and ducks diving. Had major delays leaving NYC last night because Delta canceled all of the evening flights to Orlando out of JFK due to a snowstorm that fizzled. Still inconvenienced. Gorgeous sunny day here.
