Relative to COSTCO, the plan shows future need to connect 466 to I75.

That won’t be a concern for many by the time it’s done:girlneener:

True, unless someone lights a fire under it to give Ocala access to COSTCO....

Road construction in FL and light a fire isn't in the same book much less same sentence. LOL
Coming from MI Orange Barrels not a permanent fixture, snow makes them go faster. Snails are faster than roads here

Really? Have you driven south of Warm Springs and seen the 10's of miles of new roads built the past two years.
Florida's pumping additional billions into road protects. The Turnpike, I75 and 301 projects were accelerated recently.
Strategically, extending 466 would be a straight shot through farmland that's ripe for development and would be noise in the budget.

Our first stay in Florida was in 1998, and we arrived at Tampa Airport.
The road works around the city and on I-4 were being worked then, and still are.
You could add at least 20 years to that estimate.

Have to believe Costco will speed up the process of connecting to I 75. Do not think they would have agreed to come here without that

Every big city is like that.
Progress on the Turnpike South of here has been impressive since pumping an extra 4 billion into the project.
"Moving Florida Forward has been funded $4 billion from the state’s general revenue surplus fund for a total of 20 infrastructure projects throughout the state to relieve congestion and improve Florida’s transportation network amid massive growth. FDOT’s total budget for the next five years will total over $68 billion, according to FDOT."

Agree, unsure if that was in previous versions of the planning.
An interchange at I 75/CR 475 is in discussion. Much of the land along 466 between I 75 and 301 is for sale.

Costco is a very successful operation and they know very well what is needed for their customers to be comfortable getting to their stores and the cost of building and operating the store
