Probably that it only takes one sucker to make their expense worthwhile.

Probably requires you to sit through some high pressure 90 minutes presentation.

Usually a high pressure timeshare presentation.

40 years ago, and obviously with a different company, the high pressure sales pitch was followed by a number of fees and taxes to be paid prior to any tickets materializing. Be careful.

The are not really free, you will need to pay typically a $50 registration fee, non-refundable. They don't go where you want or don't offer the locations you want and the windows are limited. OBW you will likely be subjected to another presentation during that trip as well. Read the terms and conditions...

Great business strategy. You go for the high-pressured deal and soon become disappointed with what you bought. Next, you start getting tons of junk mail and emails from outfits that gladly tell you how to get rid of the timeshare, for a loss.

Does it come with free dinner while you are there? Asking for a friend

As others have said, it sounds like a timeshare sales event. If you can just say no to high pressure sales then go for it. With any free cruise, you’d have to pay port fees and taxes. Just like when you win anything. Even on the price is right, you have to pay taxes on all that “free” stuff you won. So the showcase winner is usually in for a few thousand in taxes after they “win”

At our age, surely you have attended one of these events There is no event like this is going to simply give you a free trip. There is always a presentation to get you on the hook for something. If you have the free time, and the ability to say no you may get a free dinner out of it, but you will pay the price in time.
I love my wife's approach the last time I stupidly fell for a pitch in Clearwater. It was a rainy day, and we were corralled by a sidewalk offer for an offer of a free dinner. Thought it would be a good way to get in a dry space. They were pitching time share programs which are always a scam. You get a lot of last ditch offers and then passed to a higher-level pitcher for your next last-ditch order. They don't know how to accept no. Finally, she suddenly got Diabetes and said she was getting faint and needed to get her Insulin shot quickly before she convulsed. We were quickly handed our free dinner coupon and left.
I am sure other approaches would also work such as I am getting nauseous etc.
Have a ball. Take control, get your dinner and make an exit. Consider it a game that you need to win. Do not buy unless you can get a chance to review overnight. For sure if you cannot get that commitment, you are being scammed.

Not so free. Falsly state 7 day cruise..useless. Only 3-4Then $100 dining is only to register a discount card for places in Orlando, coupons are better.
At least not high pressure but waste of time

I attended their presentation. Told them I had a terminal illness (don’t we all… nobody gets out of this alive) Came home with the paperwork for my “free” trip. You have to pay $149.00 and a $50.00 registration fee up front before you can even see where you free trip might be to, probably Bum-F*-Egypt. Searched around for reports, bad ratings from BBB on the parent company. However they continue to do business by locally switching their name frequently. If you notice there is no name of the company on any of the advertisements.

We fell for the talk once. There were so many blackout dates, it was hard to fit a cruise in!

Wonder if one can sell a free bridge this way? No money down just registration fee and tax.

We went thru the presentation. We didn’t go for the deal, and the freebies weren’t any good, so we ended up with nothing.
