The past, current, and future (next few days) are rainy/stormy because the Jet Stream is farther south than normal for this time of year -- it's over the southern US. This can be seen by using Windy.Com

Thanks, The rain has been a pleasure. Ponds were so low while they're so much more attractive when up to a good full level.

The subject of this thread is the jet stream moving south, not the never-ending debate about EV vs ICE. All off-topic comments have been removed.

There are actually two jet streams in the northern hemisphere; the polar jet stream and the subtropical jet stream. is the OP referring to the polar jet stream? The subtropical one seems to be right where it is supposed to be.

Not only is the Jet Stream further south than normal, it will plunge even further south beginning this weekend. Those recent 90+ degree temperature forecasts are toast -- according to the Euro Model.

During my original post the northern Jet Stream branch was nearly non-existent. It is splitting now -- big time. Enjoy the cooler weather.
