I find it very surprising how slow it’s moving along. When the developer wants something done, it doesn’t typically take very long. I’m wondering if there are plans working to tie the area in with the adjacent space vacated by the former Margarita Republic?

Wonder if they wished they sited it in Eastport instead of SS. Seems like a natural with the younger demo in Middleton. Either way, I’ve been to the one in Lauderdale and am all in on it

Why - pretty sure they are just serving drinks, like the bar in Sawgrass. Don’t need to pay royalties to a restaurant if you are pouring beer and mixing drinks.

BTW, before any one mentions trademark infringement - I am very sure they thought of that.

If it’s not trademarked, the name is fair game. It is confusing though but not surprising that it’s not associated with the Lauderdale location. Although, as I stated earlier, that one would’ve been perfect for Eastport.

The earlier posts were questioning if it was part of the Lauderdale location and if it was....would make sense in a more demo friendly and suitable siting...like Eastport/Middleton.

Isn’t it just a back bar, counter bar and chairs? No food involved, just drinks, and the big question

how long can one take up space at the counter, only ordering one drink listening to music under a canopy. Hopefully there will be a drink or time minimum.

I just saw an article that it was opening. May be already opened or within a week or so.

As of today it appears ready to open. Bar stools tables and chairs are in place.

That was exactly what Goldwing nut commented in his video. A reincarnation of KB, and we all understand what caused its demise, those that just ordered water for their squeeze bottle of flavors, sitting for hours on end listening to music with ac.

Update, I decided to go through Spanish Springs on my daily bike ride and check out the status for myself. As already stated, it looked ready to be opened anytime with all the furniture out, including sun shade umbrellas in the tables. A couple employees were there so I stopped and asked if/when they will open. They responded that the opening date has not been announced yet, but it will be soon. On another note, one of those cyber trucks was parked in the town square. As the owner of 4 different trucks during my life, I can honestly say that it was the ugliest, stupidest, most ridiculous vehicle I have ever seen. I would be embarrassed to be seen driving one of those things, even if it was given to me for free.

Right on ! Name a new fast food chain building here, and it's immediately "jumped on", as if people will HAVE to eat there ? ? How odd ! Waffle House, a place we happen to like, and of course many do not, but the minute it was announced the negative comments dominated. So silly, not one of those folks will be forced to eat there. I did mention it in a conversation with some employees of a bank near there, they were excited to have a new breakfast choice before work, so it seems many....lol... of the "opinions" here, are just expressing personal views, not even recognizing the preferences of others in regard to something that will have zero impact on them. There are many establishments we have never eaten at in all these years, yet, they have no effect on our lives...LOL ! Maybe there is just not enough to do in The Villages, so out of boredom they are compelled to complain... ya think ? ? Who has read James Michener's novel Recessional about retirement in a retirement community...?

Or maybe people just want healthier options....we know how that triggers many here. I dont see anybody chaining themselves to light poles to block access to said establishments....in protest. In fairness, I did eat at a WH in SC....ordered the chicken and waffles and a shooting broke out. Unexpected entertainment but the food was to die for!

I'll pose the same question to you that went unanswered by your friend that made similar accusations to the thread....where, on this topic are people 'complaining' about the venue? It was asked if it was part of the Lauderdale 'Blondies' and others commented on the concept...because ALL want one that doesn't support non drinking seat warmers like the ones that destroyed KB. Before you read the book you recommended to everybody else....maybe pregame by reading ALL the posts before reporting out negatively!

You can't walk from the parking lot through that path, without smelling it. It's pretty gross.
