We have a family member planning to visit this spring with an RV. I am looking for suggestions for a nice RV park close to The Villages. Does anyone have any experiences to share? If so, what are the approximate fees?

Recreation Plantation is on 466 between Morse Blvd and 441. It's nice, has everything, easy bike ride to Villages.

Southern Oaks is about 4 miles north of the top end of The Villages on 27/441 before you get to the Markets of Marion. I think the rates are about $34 a night. If your friends are Passport America members they'll get it for about $17. I think the dues for Passport America are $44 for the year. Three nights and it would pay for itself. Sites are gravel and grass. They have full hookups with 50A service. I think they are directly across the street from Del Webb.
On the east end of Rt. 466 near Rolling Acres there is Recreation Plantation. I don't know the rates. What what I hear, they have lots of activities and are usually full during the winter. We had friends who have spent the winter there and they like it quite a bit.
Wildwood has at least one or two campgrounds. One might be Three Flags. Nice looking campground. It's out towards I-75.

We stayed at Recreation Plantation, just a short drive/bike ride away on the corner of 466 and Rolling Acres, for 2 months while waiting to close on our house. Good place to stay, 2 pools, lots of activities, friendly folks.,
Southern Oaks is about 8 miles away, it gets good reviews along with Recreation Plantation. The Blue Parrot, all the reviews we have read folks posted that it was awful.

You may want to pass this website on to your camping family members. It is generally spot-on with it's reviews of campgrounds. By using it they will have an idea of what's in the area because it is broken down by towns/cities and nearby towns/cities. We find it very useful.
