After Covid The Villages changed Mens day golf from a shotgun start to a Tee time. This was done to save some money and has ruined the tournament.Hardly anyone plays and with this format you don't meet many people. In all my years here I never complain but this has ruined the tournaments for men and women.

There are 12 Men's Day locations. Currently only one has openings for this week. But yes, hardly anyone plays.

Mens days has always been tee times (since 2013) as are all the tournaments run by The Villages. Both Glenview and Lopez have active groups….white and green no blue tee groups.
Shotgun starts would not work on a 27 hole course with “wave” tee times.

Talk to the subject, not to each other.

I’m trying to do the math, how does a tee time start save money vs a shotgun?

Talk to the subject, not to each other.
I cannot see a single response that is off subject.
Please explain how to respond to a question or answer, without responding/referring to the person who made the post?

Might be my fault, I will rephrase:
In Star Wars episode 8, Luke Skywalker said to Ray after her description of the force and the Jedi----"Everything that you just said is wrong"
The subject and the "information" contained in the OP deserves the same response.

What he means is the entire premise of the post is wrong.
Men’s day has been tee times for 10 years
It is very well subscribed - when i play, its a decent number of golfers

Yes, I know, I've played it for 8 years.

Maybe the OP meant executive men's day? Before covid, everyone in the 1st group (36 golfers) all went to their respective holes and played 9 holes. You always had two people to a cart, with few exceptions. Been playing exutive mens day for 10 years, 5 at Churchill and 5 at Volusia. That's why some of the cart parking spaces are numbered or were.

"Talk to the topic not each other" It makes me wonder how can the topic answer me?

If he is talking about executive course men's day I completely agree. I stopped playing, and I loved the old men's day.

Is the subject executive golf or championship golf? I haven’t play either one in about four years but was thinking about going back to executive men’s day.

The OP is referring to Executive Mens Day. I used to love to play in these scrambles and often wondered why they didn't restart them in the previous format once the bulk of covid was over.
