Got YouTube tv? What's with the 'Zen moments'? I'm not getting it.

It’s just a filler when there is no commercial ad content. I get those randomly as well.

Yes, they are there but I’ve noticed they are not near as often as they used to be.
There will be a short picture of a bee on a flower or some other calming scenery.

It's ad slots that would usually be filled by the local broadcast station. YTTV inserts Zen moments instead. If watching recorded content you can skip them as with any other ads.

I like that they do the zen moments rather than them playing more commercials.

If someone hasn't bought that air spot, they show these videos of birds flying or snow falling or whatever. I guess they are suppose to Calm you? You know, Zen Like?

Rather have a zen moment than watching a drug ad where the side effects are worse than what is being treated.

Isn't that the truth! With all the drugs listing "suicidal thoughts or tendencies", it's a wonder the population hasn't gone down.

They have them to fill in the spots where ads normally go. They are usually really short, so my guess is the ads were a few seconds shorter than the space allotted. Once in a while, you get treated to a longer one.
I love these 'zen' moments; my favorite one is the dolphins.
