Played Gray Fox today , first time since they reopened following being closed for “rest and rehabilitation”

The course was in excellent shape . Tee boxes well groomed and in great shape.

The greens were nearly perfect and healing well since the last time they were punched . No damage to any of the greens that I could tell. Speed was medium.

Sand traps were all in good condition and the grassy areas between the tee boxes and greens were weed free .

I would prefer it if they were to let them grow another 1/2 ~ 3/4 inches but I guess you can’t have everything. At least , the grass collars around the greens were decent .

As far as a “rating”, the courses south of SR 44 were not included in the “report card” because the developer has not yet turned them over to the Districts. So technically, the Developer still owns and maintains them.

However , I would give Gray Fox an “A” rating….

The first, and last, couple of holes on Gray Fox are four of the nicest holes on any Executive course in the Villages.

I just moved to TV and the first two Executive courses I played were Red Fox and Gray Fox. Very nice.

I heard that part of why the Foxes were closed was also to turn them over to the District.
