We are going to be up north for a while and noticed on security camera that I left one of my car windows down.
Wondering who I could call to tape a piece of plastic over it until we get back.
Neighbors are out of town as well

I would suggest calling Community Watch, or if that doesn't work, call the police.
But why couldn't someone just close the windows? My car has an app where I can unlock the car, or even start the car remotely. Unfortunately, I can't close the windows.

Maybe you should tell us where your car is located. Someone on this forum may be close by. Start with the general village, no need to give your specific address, until someone close by contacts you - then you can give it privately.

Note that all cars have a manual way to open the door from the inside if someone can reach the inside door panel. Also, if they cannot open the doors, you could FedEx them a key.

We’ve had quite a bit of rain over past few days. If any of that water got inside your car you’re going to have a smelly, moldy mess by the time you get home. I would contact one of your neighbors immediately. If they can’t help, Community Watch would be my next try.

Tried community watch and AAA-both declined due to not in their purview

If someone can reach in and open the door, just have them get a piece of plastic larger than the door, loop it over the top of the door and around the sides of the door then close the door. Any tape in the Florida sun will become one with the car paint and you will have a big mess on your hands.

We go up north for the summer too. We have a house watcher. If it happened to me, I'd call her and see would take care of it. Perhaps, someone who is a house watcher would do it for a one time fee. I think plastic and duct tape would probably work. Yes, you will need some adhesive remover when you remove the tape.

If Community Watch does not help................there's a handful of guys who could stop by and find a solution for him.
He needs to let us know (PM obviously) where he lives and if he wants ToTV Team to help.

Tarp on top of your car with the winds we get from storms might scratch or wear off the paint. Also if you have water inside your car from rain, you want to get that out by using a wet-dry vac or you can get mold forming or maybe rust on the floor boards.
Since my house is fully automated, I can open up the garage door and house for a friend so they could go in and grab a key, open the car, dry it out, roll up the window, lock the car, put the key back inside, and leave, then I would lock the house up, and close the garage door, all from anywhere in the world.

Someone at community watch might change their attitude for $50.

Why not send them the key so they can close the windows? I would advise them to not use duct tape on painted or chrome surfaces.

Good reason to get to know more people than just your immediate neighbors since T V has a reputation for being such a great place to be "snowbirds" and abnb landlords.

Did you let your community watch know you were leaving? If you call, I think they would help even if you didn't advise (which is a good idea.)
