Unfortunately no - but you will get in your “steps” for the day, and it’s a beautiful course.

Is there a penalty for not showing up for a scheduled tee time? I wasn’t planning on walking 18 holes

I’m still learning The Villages golf system regarding points and penalties - someone else will need to chime in on this question.

Unfortunately if you walk 9 you have to walk all the way back as the 9th hole is at the far end of the course, unlike to others where you’re back at the beginning (almost) after 9

Go check in, don’t play.
Save 2 cancellation points

The only problem with playing 9-holes at Richmond PnP is the 9th green is nowhere near the golf cart parking lot. On a hot day recently, we had a long walk to get back to the starter's shack. It is not convenient to play just 9-holes there.

Yes there is BUT the way around it is to cancel, best the night before but even the day of then play another course. As long as you play any executive course the same day there are no penalty points.

If you play after 4:00 PM (this time of year) then there are zero points.

You will probably get 3 points but that only affects future reservations over the next 7 days. Some of the P&P you can walk 9… the holes are only 50-90 yards and you will only need 3-4 clubs. They will rent you a small carry bag for $1 or a pull cart… we used a pull cart for 3 of us and put all the clubs needed in the one bag so the ladies just walked.

Marsh View P&P you can play just 9 holes… not sure which other ones you can do that to.

I wouldn't assume that for everyone. I'd just bring a 56, a 60 and a putter, as would many golfers. However, look in the paper each week and note the number of "holes in one" that are 60 yards with a driver (probably skulled into one of those 12" holes)

That is not correct. If you cancel, or fail to show up, you will be assessed cancellation points. Playing another executive course the same day has no effect. Canceling on the day of play, or failing to show up for a reservation, gets you 2 penalty points. Added to the one reservation point equals 3 points total. Canceling before the day of play is one penalty point, for a total of 2 points.

Once you tee off on the first hole, you can play until you decide that you've played enough, then walk back to your car or cart in the parking lot and leave. You aren't required to finish 9 or 18 holes.

Golfed there yesterday. Tee time 9:30. Hot and humid as expected. After the sixth hole my wife walked over to the 16th hole and sat on the shaded bench while I played the 7th hole and then walked to the 16th. We then played out the course. Got
The exercise we wanted and found three balls along the way.

At marsh view you can golf nine and end up at the starters shack.

You don’t have to play all 18. Just get the amount of exercise you desire.

If you cancel the day before or do not show, you are assigned one point for the reservation and an additional two points for the cancelation. Happens to me. The justification is that your reservation prevented someone else from reserving that time. Don’t know about points if you cancel two or three days before.

On the RIC pitch and putt, you can play holes 1-6 and then just play 16, 17 & 18 and you end up in the parking lot.

Where does one buy a 56 and 60 club? Asking for a friend.:a20:

Play the 6th hole then walk a short distance to the shaded bench at the 15th, rest and hydrate then play the remaining four holes. Still a good walk.
