Seems to be its her turn to be the top of the hill in the type of field which the Olympics fields is much different than annual world championship events. .
So if the person has been medically cleared, has been competing in the same category all her life, not just now, and now the person starts to win, its time to be outraged on what grounds? first time awareness bias via social media?
Are you being fair or just being part of the headlines mob rule of everything you read on the internet is true? where was this outrage at the last Olympics?

Imane Khelif was born in a male body…full stop!
Medical enhancements of any kind should automatically disqualify her/him
Whatever is going on psychologically is of no concern.
If I’m wrong, would gills disqualify a swimmer? Would surgically added muscle mass disqualify a weightlifter?

If he/she has X AND Y chromosomes then he is a male, PERIOD. They call it women's sports, not men's sports or he/she sports.....just women's or men's sports. For those that want everything in life to be fair, I find it very disingenuous to believe that men should be allowed to participate in women's sports, regardless of what they believe they can identify as. I find it hard to believe that women are not shouting their heads off against this attempt to destroy women's sports. Not all forms of segregation are bad.

Agreed. Females work their tales off in order to get a college scholarship and than they lose it to something that decides they are really a female in a male body? Insanity

I agree, but would like to point out that gills in a pool of chlorinated, chemically treated water might actually be a disadvantage or disaster. But, webbed hands and feet might be advantages.

Read the second link. The birth certificate would say one thing and upbringing would agree. If it was ever tested, the DNA would show something else. In that case, what do you tell the person? "Yes, you look like a woman and have female genitalia but you are really a man so start acting like it?"
Not saying this is the case in the current situation, just pointing out that biology is not as simple as many would like it to be.

If only biology was that simple, for example (https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-terms/def/swyer-syndrome).
It is. But, it also is not. Swyers syndrome is a case in point. For the most part, XX or XY is the standard by which scientists classify the remains of our ancestors when they dig up the remains. There is no record of " palentological preferred pronouns" used by our prehistoric ancestors. I am personally unaware of bones or teath that indicate extra chromosomes.
There are many kinds of oddities as a result of a variety of different syndromes and other irregularities. Extra chromosomes, limbs, teeth, webbing on hands or feet, and so on. These abnormalities may hinder or help these individuals depending on what their situation is. The Olympic games are a competition between athletes of specific groups or individuals. All competitors should (in my opinion) have the same basic qualifications to compete like for like. No extra enhancements. No extra arms (big advantage in boxing or wrestling perhaps), legs (running maybe), chromosomes (possible differences in development or distribution of muscle mass/strength).
Trans-athletes, belong with other trans-athletes to keep things truly fair for all.
Just my humble and imperfect opinion.

I feel almost normal after reading that.
Normal? In the majority is the best we can likely hope for. A good solid "C". Average.
All in all, average ain't bad. A lot of abnormalities in our bodies and brains are the result of DNA damage, causing the child to take on characteristics different then what they might have been. Also, during formation from zygote , fetus to baby, things can occur that result in all kinds of different or abnormal physical and/or mental development. I harbor no ill against anyone for their differences. But, I believe I am what nature made me. I believe we are all what nature made us. We are, imo, not necessarily what we imagine ourselves to be or what we artificially modify ourselves to imitate.
Which came first, the chicken or the egg? The EGG! IMHO, a chicken like dinosaur laid an egg and something (heat, cold, radiation, infection) damaged the DNA in the fertile egg enough to create the first chick. "Mutation isn't always a bad thing." I think Col. Sanders said that.

DSD. Differences in Sexual Development. About as common as being born with red hair, at least according to this article that I thought appeared to be pretty good.
What is a DSD? The condition at the heart of the Olympic boxing controversy and the Imane Khelif bout | Daily Mail Online (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-13698605/What-DSD-condition-Olympic-boxing-controversy.html)
The Russians also said Brittany Griner was a male. After seeing photos of her playing topless, I agreed. Now, however, my guess is she's one of those born with DSD.

Dsd! Male? Female? Neither????
If a birth defects produces a child of extreme flexibility or strength or lung capacity or some other advantage, is it fair to let that individual compete against , for lack of a better term, "normal" men or women who come by their abilities through hard work, dedication, training, study and sacrifice. I'm not sure it is. DSD is a special situation that may not hamper them in social situations, but the potential for abusing or misusing their special gifts. That is why men and women compete separately with different events. It is why competitors, male and female have different weight categories in combat or strength sports.
XX women. XY men. XXY, XYY, ETC special catagory?

Male, Female or mutation. Mutations disqualified. "Normal" is qualified as part of the majority. If not normal, then you don't qualify to participate in sports for the normal. Try the "Special Olympics." Most(normal) people would consider that to be known as common sense. Common sense has been replaced with the elimination of pronouns, participation trophies, etc.

The guaranteed way to cut this **** out is for females to refuse to compete against biological males. It might take a while for sanity to once again reign, but refusing to accommodate delusion would eventually get the job done.

The very simple solution to this ridiculousness is to change the nomenclature in competitions to XX/XY/Alphabet Soup (or whatever term you want to use to describe the LGBTQIA… and whatever other letters have been added lately to the alphabet soup gang). This allows biological women to compete with biological women, biological men with Biological men, and can be verified with bloodwork and a birth certificate.
Or have a separate alphabet soup Olympics for trans/misgendered athletes. No different than having a special Olympics for people with various handicaps, and Paralympics for people with physical handicaps, EVERYONE can compete in their own wheelhouse.
It is tragic that we have let ourselves fall apart to this degree, but it would work and be easy to implement.

Maybe try Googling it.
This person was born a woman, has been a woman her entire life and has been competing as a woman (beaten by women a number of times). Why should someone born with an unusual chromosome be barred from competing when she has passed all the rules necessary to compete. Maybe you would rather have her competed with men and beaten badly. Look up all the physical anomalies that the greatest male swimmer of all time (Michael Phelps) had and tell me he should not have been able to compete either.

We are told men can punch 2.6 times harder than a woman. Did want to share our opinion - it is completely bizarre that this is happening. Makes no common sense. Truth is there are two genders - you are, what you are when you are born with certain sex parts. If they want to mutilate their bodies and take certain drugs to change that, that is their business - don't expect us to pay for that, like that it occurs (celebrate their insanity) or even sees these misguided individuals. We have every right to our opinion, just like anyone else.

Birth certificates in some places can be changed. DNA is the only absolute test as that does not change. You are the sex that you born and that can never be changed.
This person was assigned female at birth with XY chromosomes. Let’s just do a DNA test for those who fail gender tests and move on. DNA doesn’t lie as no one can change the sex that they were born.
We cannot conflate "sex you were born with" and gender. Whether they were taken to be the same in the past, they are not the same today. We need to accept that and learn how to deal with it. Beyond that, no serious official or reporter is suggesting that the Algerian boxer was EVER considered to be male in any way.
XY chromosomes does not equal male. That's not my assertion, that's science. The doctor and the parents cannot see what chromosomes a baby has but they can see what sex it is.
What evidence is there that this boxer has XY chromosomes? Are you taking the insinuation of a Russian official from a discredited organization? Based on a test they won't name and results they won't disclose? A test which was administered after the Algerian boxer beat their Russian boxer and conveniently led to the disqualification of the Algerian?

Imane Khelif is the topic of a lot of social controversy. .
Lets refresh her history to be sure we aren't getting misinformed by social propaganda
The Shameful Controversy Over Olympic Boxer Imane Khelif | WIRED (https://www.wired.com/story/imane-khelif-olympic-boxer-controversy/)
Are you being fair or just being part of the headlines mob rule of everything you read on the internet is true? where was this outrage at the last Olympics?
yes part of the article is behind a paywall, for me as well, but the main points are visible after declining the subscription offer.
do you still think/feel that you aren't manipulated by news/social media? maybe Russian misinformation? 4 years of internet misinformation starting to confuse everyone?
Pathetic this world has come to a point where men can beat women up in public arena and some see it as “progressive “. It is anything but ! Not confused because I have a working brain !

I found this from ABC sports:
"The Algerian boxer was born female, was registered female, lived her life as a female, has a female passport," the International Olympic Committee (IOC) said in a press conference on Friday.
I guess I should end with FULL STOP.

So far the guys in women's boxing are winning. Pretty much like any other sport when men are allowed to "compete" against women.

Look up all the physical anomalies that the greatest male swimmer of all time (Michael Phelps) had and tell me he should not have been able to compete either.
Like what? It's pretty clear Michael Phelps was born a male.

A male who has been beaten, multiple times, by women has no business competing in the Olympics in the first place...
They are suppose to have minimal standards and qualifying events...
And Michael Phelps has no more "physical anomalies" that any other olympic athlete... He's just better at his sport than all of them...

Not necessarily. Normally, yes. But not 100% of the time. Anomalies, mutations, etc. Ever hear the term "hermaphrodite"? 2 X is female. 1X and 1Y is male. With more then 2 chromosomes I believe that there could be a possibility of male or female extra "enhancements. In the case of boxer Imane, if "she" has 2 X and 1 Y, she would possibly be female with male related advantages/enhancements. Like naturally high testosterone. If she has1 X and 2 Y (if that is possible) my guess is a person super masculine with some female traits, but that is just a guess on my part. My opinion for competitors qualificationis based on a person with the usual/normal 2 chromosomes.

Sexist censorship? No. Vagina is the proper term for female genitalia. ***** is the proper term for male genitalia. If the proper term for male genitalia is somehow inappropriate, perhaps the moderator would be willing to explain why.

The most prominent example is Tula, a super model who has Kleinfelter syndrome. Here is her story.

it's true! no amount of surgical 'alterations' changes the fact the person was born a male. these women shouldn't even compete. by entering the ring, they are condoning the decision. a full boycott should be in order

So she is not attractive enough to have been born with female genitalia? She is too tall/wide/muscular to have been born with female genitalia? Your trans-dar is accurate enough to determine that countless statements that she was born female, raised female, and has always been female are flat out lies? Or is it more that the presence of female genitalia is irrelevant if one is too tall/wide/muscular/good/successful/unattractive to actually be a woman?

I’m sick of all of this stuff. I heard on several Olympic channels that the IOC identifies all participants by their passport, and “his” said male….
Perhaps the information you "heard" is wrong. Khelif has identified as female since birth, has always competed in the women’s boxing division and is listed as a woman on her passport.

We didn’t. In my post I used the letters sine and p to spell the, apparently, offensive term to see if this was an urban myth. The term was deleted and replaced with 5 *s.
And, no explanation why the term is considered offensive, or what the acceptable reference word would be considered an acceptable substitute. Makes one wonder.

Gets messy cuz Khelif after a gender eligibility test allegedly found she has XY chromosome before
My sister is a delivery room nurse she said some kids and born with male and female genitalia they have had a Dr remove one of them. Maybe that was her deal
Your sister who is a delivery room nurse has no idea what happens to the infant once it leaves the delivery room. Nobody gets genital surgery in the delivery room. Decisions about ambiguous genitalia are made after much discussion and evaluation and the criteria used have changed over time and will continue to change.
If you care to read on the complexities of phenotype vs genotype here is a clear explanation (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK279168/)
