This is the result of all the left wing media's machinations to blame Sarah Palin for somehow causing the shooting of 6 innocents in Tucson. Dozens of "tweets" collected calling for the assassination of the former governor.

There's no legitimate way to establish any link between Sarah Palin and her words to the Arizona shooter, but there is every reason to blame the media's unseemly focus on her as precipitating these death threats against her.

This is the end result of irresponsible journalism. (if you can call it journalism)

RITCHIE....not ONE person will object to this on this forum..NOBODY. You see RITCHIE...this is ok....ALL of those folks on here who condemned all the strong talk will find this just fine.

During the campaign on THIS FORUM....there were many words of caution given to us who opposed Obama to watch what we say...do not mention his wife, his kids, his race...etc.

NOW....when Palin came on the scene, the same folks on THIS FORUM tore her, her husband, all of her children to pieces...personally, politically and ever which way...but you see RITCHIE...that seems to be ok.

The hypocrites on this site will, under no circumstances, object to this. Amazing all the sweet, peaceful folks who condemn UNTIL its someone they just dont like and then it all of a sudden becomes ok !

Moonbats are moon bats, no matter what they're stripe. The people who are trying to link this to Palin are willingly staying ignorant of the fact that this guy was a dope-smoking anarchist. I'm guessing it might just be the gun control crowd looking for another James Brady to hang their hat onto.

I certainly have my problems with Palin and that website was, in my opinion, in VERY poor taste. But trying to make your case by ignoring evidence doesn't do an advocate of ANY cause ANY good.

Of course they didn't get my message. Back in the 1980s, the news departments of the major networks were moved from being their own division to a division under Entertainment Division - I believe NBC was the first to do this. That meant they were now a slave to ratings. The predictable outcome has happened.

Last night, a democratic member of the House compared the Republicans to the Naziis.....Steve Cohen of TN made the comment and alluded to the Palin use of the "blood libel" term !!!

He went all the way..mentioned the holocaust, Goebels...all of it...

"They say it's a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels," "You say it enough, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, and eventually, people believe it. Like blood libel."

“The Germans said enough about the Jews and people believed it--believed it and you have the Holocaust. We heard on this floor, government takeover of health care. Politifact said the biggest lie of 2010 was a government takeover of health care because there is no government takeover,"

Do you think this will make the main stream media...a one day wonder or a week of talking about it ?

PS: I would expect that those on this forum that expressed such indignity with the language being used and were so happy to furnish names and their total disgust with the language will be just fine with this !!

Sadly, extremists in both parties and Fox News as well as MSNBC do the same thing. Television news is to be ignored completely, IMHO. Print media is a mixed bag at best...do not rely on one source. Better yet, ignore the media and its inclination to seek and promote controversy...enjoy life and watch a good movie or game. Go out with your spouse or a good friend/date. Rise above the blithering, overpaid partisan zealots! They have no impact on our lives, unless we allow them to tick us off.

Your post sounds like much that I've heard from the apologists for left wing blame-gamers, but I don't recall examples of Fox News or the Washington Times playing this game. I've heard stories on Fox, but they've never placed blame for any evil action on the words of a liberal politician or liberal spokesman or liberal pundit as far as I know.

Please post one example where this has been done.

Michelle Malkin has done a little research, and saved me the trouble, and I provide the link to her column, which also appeared in our own Daily Sun, demonstrating the continuing tactic of "Blame Righty", as she says.

I await your posting of examples of conservative journalism's attempts to blame left wing speech for the unrelated acts of a miscreant.

Thanks for the link RICHIE....I can assure you that those on this forum that were outraged will post such things, as SARATOGAMAN has posted (and that does not mean that SARATOGAMAN posted anything previous or means anything bad...I cant read minds) but you will never hear the outrage when it was thought it was the fault of the other side.

As I said in another post, I have become so steeled about this...the constant and ongoing Palin bashing (by the way I am NOT a fan of hers) the nagging on Fox, when MSNBC actually and openly preaches HATE on thier nighttime shows (I have heard Oberman actually use that word in referring to anything Republican) and not a word on here. I have been warned to watch what I say about Obama....by the way I have never ever not once uttered a bad word about him personally or even hinted that way, and have never even mentioned his family (Palin should be so lucky)

I mention THIS FORUM, because I was struck by those folks on here who find political so terrible...so dirty...yet when the tragedy struck in AZ and they thought it might be the fault of the right or Palin, they were all over this board with condemnations, yet silent on this !

Boy, you've got that right!

That's about what I said when I stopped listening to the political media and dropped out of this forum a number of months ago. I didn't heed my own advice to myself.

Now I'm wondering why I didn't.
