Not defending whoever left it there, but they could have planned on picking it up on their loop back? There is no excuse for leaving it in someone’s driveway, but I have seen people leave the bag in a common area and pick it up on their return loop.

Why would someone go to the trouble of bagging it up only to leave it in your driveway. If they're intention was to leave it anywhere they would left it right where the dog left it.

Our old neighborhood, every week multiple photos posted on website, from cameras, of person with blocked out face, but dog clearly using others yard, and no pick up.
Some found it funny, those whose dog was in pic was unhappy, but it did fix the issue.
Some posted block out the dogs face, they are innocent, post the human.
Outside cameras can be informative and entertaining

That is why you have a driveway camera. Up north, the other day I was quite upset that there was poop on my porch steps. I looked in my camera’s recordings to see which dog, which owner? I found that the animal responsible was a very large raccoon.

Yeah but why not just carry the bag and dispose properly? We walk our dog daily and after she drops her load we simply use the poo bags to pick it up and continue our walk to discard at home. If you own a dog it is not a big deal. Just like changing a baby’s diaper is not a big deal. And, no, I’m not trying to equate the two - just saying they are both natural.

I often leave the doggie bag by the curb because I pick it up on the way back. I see no reason to carry it for several miles if I can get it on the return trip. I leave it by the curb, not in someone's driveway. Isn't it possible the person who left the bag would have picked it up on the way back?

I was dog sitting for a friend…taking the pup on two walks a day.

I’d clean up after the dog and leave the bag on the curb as we walked on. I’d pick up the bag on the return loop and take it home.

Thinking one of two thoughts. Someone making a loop walk didn’t want to carry the bag all the way around, and you picked it up before they returned.
Or, they just don’t like you.
I’m thinking the first option.

I tend to agree with the poster of the above quote. Undoubtedly there are some folks here in TV who would think nothing of doing such a thing (or in some cases even think it was funny) but overall I think the odds of this happening maliciously are pretty low. Fell off a golf cart--carrying two bags and dropped one accidentally--put it down to do something with Rover's leash, answer the phone, or whatever and then just forgot to pick it up--and so on. Any one of a number of such scenarios are probably more likely than a malicious or childish someone doing the deed.
If it repeats--then come up with a plan of action. Otherwise just drop it. Life is too short.

Not if they planned on picking it up ten minutes later. Not if they accidentally dropped it and did not know they had.

No one's ever left a bag of poop at the edge of my driveway. But if they did and I saw who it was, I'd absolutely pick the bag up and deliver it to THEIR driveway.
Because unlike them, I'm not somehow perfectly capable of holding a leash to walk my 30-pound dog, but tragically incapable of holding the end of a baggy with less than half a pound of crap in it.
In addition, there is no "on the way back" that I've seen. Most people start at their house, walk in one direction, and go around the block, ending back at their house. They don't take a second trip to pick up their bags of crap.

Real easy solution. Dog owners should teach their dogs to dump in their own yard and THEN take them for a walk. I've done it with many dogs in the past. Sure, take a bag just in case your dog has an accidental discharge. For crying out loud, it's not rocket science. If you can't teach your pet a simple thing like that, should you really own a pet? C'mon folks. And if you are too lazy to carry a tiny bag of crap home with you, then you need help too.

Our dogs were trained to only walk on road or sidewalks on short leash.
First I have no idea what any dog has deposited on a lawn.
Second I have no idea the chemicals the owner has used on their own property, nor do I care. It’s their lawn, not mine to abuse or have zero respect for their property.
Our dogs were trained with commands, never leaving our yard, for up to 30 minutes before a walk for exercise. All wore booties in the summer and days of snow, because salt is not their friend.
We had Belgian Shepherds, both came with LEO training, but didn’t serve. But they made the best kids guardians one could ever wish for. After 17 years back to back best companions ever, we chose not to take another.

They step onto the driveway because a car is passing. The dog jumps at the car and the owner drops the bag. Because he is wrestling the leash, he does not notice the drop. Off he goes to finish his walk.
Did that happen. I don't know. I just suggest that assuming someone did it on purpose and is a jerk would not be my default. For some it is, I see.

Exactly!
I wouldn't jump for joy if I found a bag of poop, but the effort it would take to rectify this situation might involve using one or two of my collection of 500 plastic grocery bags, dropping the poop bag into those one or two grocery bags, and then into one of my garbage bags where it will sit for a maximum of 3 days before garbage pick up.
Maybe 60 seconds of effort if I'm moving particularly slowly that morning.
Hardly worth the "agita" generated in this thread.

First, I pulled in to a park with 22 spaces. 1 car parked at the far end. I curved coming on so was slightly over the painted line. With no one there, I didn't back up & repark. Walked for 20 minutes and returned to a pre-printed card on my car "Learn to Park" etc. Really? No other cars around now. I didn't read the rest of the card. Second event, a very big man approached me in the dog park where I was with my service dog. He was wrong, but nevertheless it was how aggressive he was and went on endlessly even tho I left after telling him he was a bully. Yesterday I was driving in the Spanish Springs town square on the way home. At the corner in front of Dunkin Donuts where you can only go either left or right - I was in the left lane to turn with a lady ahead of me. We didn't have a stop sign, and there was no white line to indicate any need to stop, and there's no crosswalk at that spot. No one was walking across the street. A guy was at the curb, waiting for us to pass. She slammed on her brakes in the middle of her turn to the other road - which made me slam on mine - to allow the guy to cross the street. I yelled over that she shouldn't have done that. She yelled back that the law says you have to let people cross.
The answer - in case she's reading this: You have to let pedestrians CONTINUE to cross, once they've already left the curb. You don't have to stop and wait for them to do that, especially if they're not at an actual crosswalk. You held up traffic for a pedestrian who was doing what he knew he was supposed to do. You were wrong. I'm just glad I was paying attention and was able to swerve to the side without hitting you when you came to your abrupt halt.

I wish it was as easy as Jim Carrey’s reaction in his role as a RI State Trooper in Me Myself and Irene. Fed up with his neighbors (played by comedian Steve Sweeney) dog repeatedly crapping on his lawn and his wife stealing his newspaper.....he finally snaps. In uniform, he walks over to his neighbors property , picks up his newspaper, drops ‘trou’ and leaves a ‘steamer’ on his lawn. Poetic justice!

IMO, if you didn't park straight, you should have recentered regardless of how many empty spaces ,were available. How do you know it was a man that left the card and not a "Karen"?
Second event, a very big man approached me in the dog park where I was with my service dog. He was wrong, but nevertheless it was how aggressive he was and went on endlessly even tho I left after telling him he was a bully. Hs kept yelling, babbling.I have never experienced such nonsense and didn't expect it in The Villages. The friendliest city? Not really.[/QUOTE]
He was wrong about what?
Again, male bullies are the exception rather than the rule. Female "Karens" are also the exception rather than the rule. Most everybody in TV is really nice.
