Charley and the Villages. August 13, 2004.

What were your experiences with Charley in 2004 here in the Villages?

We moved from Palm Harbor in mid 2005 to the Villages because Palm Harbor had been the bullseye of four of the 2004 storms but each one turned off to go somewhere else.

I sat outside that evening on front lanai in Springdale .. next morning I was suppose to go down to umpire a softball tournament in Disney .. all roads and area looked ok until I got off the exit for Disney then on the main road in on both sides all buildings were severely damaged and trees were down.. when I reached Disney all was good but that's because they had hundreds of workers cleaning up
