Yesterday's post was of interest, since we are a close community
OP stated "We have trees and shrubs all around our patio. Yet I can hear the guy one house down from us burp or pass gas. If you are having a conversation on your lanai you are being heard by anyone with normal hearing. The conversation doesn't have to be loud. I say nothing I wouldn't be ok to share with the world when I'm on my lanai. I had a sound expert tell me that if water can come through a barrier so can sound so landscaping doesn't stop sound; it's more of a psychological barrier. Be aware what you say when outside or in public places."

Great advice...
Spot on! Maybe that's why our neighbors aren't chummy with us and vice versa! I know SO much info about our neighbors that they would never discuss with others. Cell phone conversations, regular conversations, disagreements, and SEEING people pick and adjust body areas like no one can see them. We don't have kissing lanais, but just have neighbors lanais or windows nearby close enough to hear and see what I'd rather not. Interesting what you learn about people!

Yeah, so everyone can enjoy it !

Not sure why I'd want to listen to my neighbor, nor obnoxiously loud couples at restaurants.
I'm glad our lanai has sliding doors.

People like to beat a “dead horse”…. I’m surprised Admin doesn’t combine the Threads or take this one down.

Far be it for me to defend the mods....but they must have their hands full trying to consolidate and streamline the proliferation of ‘dog poop’ threads. They’ll get to it!

Isn't a glassed in lanai just a sun room? Not pro or con, just asking.

Not me! I'd rather beat a dead bunny rabbit. Much easier and takes less time. 🙃🫠😉
