This is an update to The Enclave, an area of Dabney in The Villages, with custom homes, and it is the furthest east section of The Villages. There are only 20 lots of the original 121 that are remaining. These exclusive homes are just south of Lake Denham, as shown in the video.

Really well-made video, excellent images and your descriptions are informative and easy to understand.

I think my only concern having an exterior lot would be future building of the wooded properties behind my house. There's a lot of land - is it protected by an inland-wetland commission, or can it be purchased and developed?

The surrounding marsh land is owned by the city of Leesburg, and I am sure the city would sell it to TV if it could, but it would be expensive to make it work. The bonds are high for this area because it took a lot of work to fill in spots, like Lake Denham Drive to connect the Enclave to the rest of Dabney. It would be cheaper to by arable land or pastures, as they have done, and just continue to march south.

Is the bee hive land and the lots on the right of the entrance owned by Leesburg? I can see that land being developed by someone.

These lots have been on sale for more than a year! (Since Sept 2023). Nothing new? It took some time to sell the lots that have been sold. The area is too far from everything.

Yes, Bugg Spring is about a half mile to the east.

The land between however along Lake Denham Dr. is privately owned.

Florida has some wonderful places.

In 1963 our club at Fort Myers High School took a trip up to Cypress Gardens and stopped at Bok Tower on the way back. I thought Bok Tower was pretty boring.

After my wife and I moved to TV in 2016, she learned about Bok Tower and she wanted to go there. I consented, so we drove down there and we were overwhelmed with the beauty of the tower and the wonderful gardens. I guess a 72 year old man has more appreciation for the beauty of this world than a 17 year old.

We go back to Bok Tower about twice a year for a visit. One time on a very hot sunny day we found a baby gopher turtle on the trail and we put it into the shade.

This area is supposed to be a premier home area but it’s far from being an area like the premier Osceola Hiils. No real views of anything, a mix of designer homes with premier homes. Plus, you would need to put a gas station or a charging station for your golf carts if you want to go the any golf course below 466a and you would have to leave hours in advance.

Not quite...but you are right, it's a ride. The Enclave to Lake Deaton Plaza is 30-35 minutes by golf cart. From there, you can be on about a dozen courses within 20-25 minutes. So, call it an hour or less. A long haul for sure, but certainly not "hours," and no need for a fuel stop.

Bugg Springs. I grew up in New London, CT, the home of the Naval Underwater Sound Lab. They develop sonar and other underwater military scientific stuff. Bugg Springs is one of their test facilities for sonar devices. It's somewhat unique because it's very deep yet small in surface area. The facility is supposedly still in use. I'd love to know if there are people in the area who worked there and have any interesting stories.
