a sway in my golf cart

Hello, my golf car is 2021, and lately that it has a sway to it worse on corners but on a straight away it goes side to side, i was going to replace the 4 shock absorbers but want, to ask what others thought. It is a battery powered cart

I had the same problem on my Club Car last month. Turned out to be a loose bolt somewhere in the steering/axle connection location thingie. They tightened it up and all's well.

Bushings are probably gone in front or back or both.

Another vote for bushing problems, I have heard of this on some Yamahas, but I do not recall the years. I would have one of the mobile golf cart companies take a look at your cart, if you did not buy it from a dealer, it could be a warranty issue.

We do hear this most with 4 passenger carts and as someone else stated, Tire pressures is the first place to go. Most run the tire pressures too low. Electric cart being heavier and the just starter statement, i would lean toward that first. 205x65x10 tire, 32 would be the recommended tire pressure by the professionals.

The info (?) I had on the bushings came from a neighbor that spent $100-$200 on having bushings replaced on their cart, I thought this was a Yamaha but I could be very wrong on that. This was a few years ago, and I have not kept up on the design of these carts, so I made an assumption. Sorry if this was misinformation.

I had electric club car made very cheap with flimsy front end parts. The spindle bushings was first to go along with rear brakes. Yamaha Coil over front spindles made much more better and rugged

Most cart tires run a tire pressure of 22 to 25 lbs. 25 seems to give a harder ride but the cart rolls easier. At 32 lbs, most likely your running on the center or the crown of the tire which can cause this type of cart driving behavior. I would first lower the tire pressure to say 24 lbs and see how the cart drives and handles. Hope this helps!

Had same problem and my issue was that the front wheel alignment was off. Changed that and all was good.

My cart is all over the path if I let the tire pressure run low especially at higher speeds. Once set to 30psi, all is well.

The 2021 Yamaha PTV Owners Manuel states the the recommended tire pressure for the 20.5" 205/65-10 tire is actually 22 psi.

Call Andy the Tire Guy he has all the bushings and equipment necessary to make your cart drive like new. He just fixed one for us and it steers perfectly. (352) 434-2254.

Tire pressure is too high. Should be between 22 & 25 pounds

Bushing can be positively confirmed bad with a simple test. With your foot, sharply push top of each tire towards the tire on the opposite side of the cart. If it wobbles, or clunks, bushings are bad. Replace all of them.

With the updated info of it being a EZGO- rear bushings could be the issue. Simple check if you can jack the rear of the car up. Being a 2+2, id run higher tire pressures.
