I would like to try out for a twirler but can't seem to locate a contact name, email or phone number.
I started twirling a baton at the age of 5. I have been in parades & recitals.
We will be closing on our home on September 27th and while we are in The Villages, I would like to see about trying out.
Thank you,
Brenda Schueler

OP, I would suggest that you download The Villages free app, go to the home page, select calendar, and search for events. Also, if you don't get anything for twirlers, use "cheerleaders" instead.

Contact Ann Pelle, The Village Twirlers, this group has parade corps, show team and drum corps. I was in this group for 9 years. Meet at Hacienda Rec center on Thursdays and Mulberry on Mondays. There is the another group, Prime Time Twirlers mentioned above, I also believe there is 1 more but don't know name.

As others have pointed out, The Villages Twirlers meet and practice weekly. They appear in many parades.

There are more than one groups of twirlers in The Villages.

If you want to start out slow, with a smaller baton group, try the Hometown Twirlers. It's a dozen or so women who perform at nursing homes and the like; no parades, everything they do is inside where it's cool! They meet at Coconut Cove Rec Center every Friday at 11AM. My wife really enjoys this group. She was in the larger parade group (Prime Time Twirlers), mentioned above, but it was too much.

Yes. There are two different groups. Check out Prime Time Twirlers. They perform at all major events in the three town squares.
