I would suggest either Massey ($$$) or Deans ($$) to at least look at your lawn to see if you actually have crab grass or a variation of one of the grasses that grows via horizontal sprouts (torpedo grass ?). ACE tend to be very helpful, so you could take some photos to the local ACE hardware and see if they have a suitable product for a DIY treatment.

I get a few spots of crabgrass every now and then. I think it comes off the commercial mowers. Anyway, with the grass wet I sprinkle some baking soda on the crabgrass, and it dies without hurting our Zoysia. In time the Zoysia will fill in where the crabgrass was.

My entire lawn is crabgrass. Except here it's known as St. Augustine.

Green Smiths Pest Control, Pest Control, Lawn Care - Green Smiths - The Villages, Florida (http://www.greensmithspestcontrol.com/), 352-303-0205. As noted in other posts they have been growing significantly which indicates success. Locally owned. They have been my service for the last 5 years. After unsucessful experiences with Deans and neighbors problems with Massey I elected to go with a smaller company and one that communicates. Their success is represented by my lawn and shrubs and plants and neighbors who now use them as well.
