My husband and I have just purchased a home on Journey Lane in the village of Sanibel. I really need to get some recommendations for property management. Could I please have recommendations and contact information for services provided in the Sanibel village? I specifically need a Handyman and house cleaning service please. Thank you in advance!!

Property management are typically used for renting out a property, so not sure exactly what you are after.

I’m trying to manage the property myself and not use a property management company.

As villagetinker said - property management companies are used for people who buy homes and rent them out. Not for people who buy homes and live in them.

Are you planning on renting your new property to tenants, and not live in it? If so, do you live in the area? If not, you would probably want to pay a property manager to manage the property for you. They can make sure that your tenants are taking care of your investment and not trashing it, while you're too far from it to do anything about it. They can also be the go-betweens who take care of any repairs, if something goes wrong. They can -also- be the ones who can make sure that those repairs are actually needed - and not cave to fraudsters who frequent the area.

If you're planning on living IN the property, you don't need a manager. If you live near the property but won't be living in it, you probably wouldn't need a manager.

Maybe she is a snowbird and needs someone to watch her property when she is up north.

It appears they bought as an investment property.
