From Monday's Daily Sun:

Another restaurant and bar announced it will be coming to Downtown Middleton.
Zunzibar signed a lease to open a beach-themed sports bar in the Boathouse building on Dr. Randy McDaniel Way. It is part of an expansion into six Florida for the brand based on the popular Zunzi's franchise based in Savannah, Georgia. The full-service restaurant will feature sandwiches, wings, and chips and sauces along with a full bar offering cocktails and frozen drinks. Zunzibar anticipates an opening in the second quarter of 2025.
It will join Mondo's Boats, Rides & Vibes at the Boathouse. Mondo's will offer rentals of watercraft, such as kayaks and canoes, as well as scooters and golf carts for adventures on the water and land in and around the area.

Exactly what I was thinking. One sports bar is more than enough.

We need more than one sports bar for 156,000 people. The two that just opened are packed so a couple more are needed.

The Parrot Heads will like it here. Beach themed drinking establishment with bottomless cocktails. Very little food.

Uh oh ..... I can think of one poster who is not going to like it if the SPORTS BAR does not show the History or Cooking channel!!! I kid.

I certainly don't pan new restaurants because they are not my preferred foods/types, but I agree with you, the sports bar, sports bar, sports bar thing is really getting over done. However, on the flip side, I realize if that was not the preferred cuisine of the majority of Villages residents, you'd not see one establishment of this type after another going up. Same with "fast food" establishments, if people did not prefer it, there would be a limited number of them ! It's not exactly cuisine heaven in a limited income retirement community. At least there are a few choices here, and a few in Ocala an Orlando area, but of course that requires a drive so we've just accepted that. It is what it is, other features make up for a few minor disappointments !

Could care less about it. Live in the north end and in a car it is 45 minutes away(minimum)

Hint - we are no longer a 55+ community. They will have a kids menu ;-)

Target market, similar to Boosters, includes younger people with families from Middleton and the surrounding Sumter/Lake county areas.

In some states, kids are not permitted in bars at all. I tend to agree.

Looks like a fun "beachy" restaurant clearly aimed at the Middleton demographic.

Here's an example menu from the Hilton Head location.
