Has anyone used both car washes? Price differential doesn't seem like a big deal so curious what people think of the two competitors.

One thing that I "noticed", not a scientific measurement, is that the Mister drying blowers seem to do a better job of removing residual water from the car. Not as much wipe down required. In fact, one day I just drove home without wiping down at the car wash. Looked pretty good. I go there now because of that, even if it is my imagination.

Speaking of the Mister Car Wash, there is a new one being built off the corner of 466 and highway 101 next door to the fire station on Parr St. It will be interesting to see how the traffic flow works as the only way in and out of the car wash is within 100 feet of the busy intersection.

Mister, bigger parking spaces for vac.

Mister, tips........don't like when the tippee asks the tipper if the tipper wants to tip.

Sweet does a pre-wash scrub for bugs.

Otherwise, pretty much same, same.

Curious why Mister built there when the other car wash is so close. I would have thought that building it on rt 44 near Brownwood would have been better…. No difference to us tho, we hand wash ours…

Their businesses must be booming. Seems like every time I use my vehicle, I come back needing a wash. Almost everywhere we go there are irrigation heads going off into the streets. It's almost impossible to keep it clean. Yesterday afternoon on 466A, there was a huge puddle in the eastbound lanes that was impossible to avoid. I'll be glad when they finally get the water levels back to normal

Over time these car washes may strip off clearcoat and paint. It will cost several hundred dollars to repair. More if it causes damage in multiple locations.

Automatic Car Washes with Brushes: Some automatic car washes use large spinning brushes made of stiff materials. Over time, these brushes can create micro-scratches, swirl marks, and even dull the finish of your vehicle, which compromises the integrity of the clear coat. If dirt or debris gets caught in the brushes, it can also scratch the surface.

Touchless Car Washes: While touchless car washes avoid the risk of physical scratches, they often use stronger chemicals to break down dirt, which can gradually wear down the clear coat if used frequently.

I must be fortunate, have been using car washes since the 2000's and have never had an issue. I use Sweetwater currently, monthly subscritption so at least once a week it gets a bath, and The Villages Car Wash about every two months, no issues there also. My only complaint with Sweetwater is their dryer is ok but could be better.....not enough to change yet which is why I started this thread.

Just have a good detail job every three months.

I agree. I think Macquarie wax is the best. It will act as a sacrificial layer.

Stay away from the gas station car washes though. The bigger ones probably do regular maintenance and cleaning.

Went to mister for the first time. Used to go to big dans on 441. At mister no towels to dry car. It needed it. No window cleaner. No inside cleaner spray. Very disappointed
