Whenever I try to log in to the Total Wines website it just sits and whirls, no matter how long I wait.
If I open another tab and try to log in again, switch back to the first tab (still whirling), then switch back to the second tab it has invariably logged straight in.
Anything that gets me to wine more quickly can't be bad.

It would help to know what operating system and what browser you are using. I can try on something close to see what my experience is.
I assume you are starting at totalwine.com

Yes, re totalwine.com
Using Windows 11 and Firefox
Mrs Fox gets in immediately using the App, so I suspect Firefox may be the problem

I use 11 and Firefox too with no problems. I’ll see if I can break it but …

I experienced the problem.
- I opened totalwine.com and noticed the store was set to Tallahasee
- I set the store to Lady Lake
- I attempted to login and it hung with the spinning icon
- I opened another tab and logged in with no problem
- The initial tab was still spinning.
Unfortunately, it wasn't repeatable.
- I tried everything I could to duplicate the problem but once it logged in properly it didn't have the problem again.

Could be your ad blocker, or your lack of an ad blocker. Blockers can sometimes hang things up.

Adding to the list -
Firefox updates
Your internet provider
Windows 11
Totalwine website is in the cloud
Time since your last reboot
all these can have a potential cause in what you are experiencing. Since it's difficult to replicate it's a 'craps table' on what is the actual cause, and with the list as long a it is....best I can say is grin and bear it.... or better yet use the phone app. I have had an easier time using their app.

You know we’ve arrived at the pinnacle when we’re whining about wine websites. W much?

Takes a split second to load using Safari on iPhone.

Use the Total Wine app.
totalwine.com *is* the app when you are on a computer.

Had the problem again today but again, after it happens once it doesn't happen again.
Today I:
- logged in with no problem
- closed the tab but stayed logged in to see if it would automatically log me out
- waited a few hours
- opened totalwine.com and I was still logged in
- decided to try logging in on Chrome to see if it made a difference
- opened totalwine.com on Chrome but needed the password
- logged out on Firefox then went back to the login page to read the pre-populated password
- logged in easily on Chrome
- hit login on Firefox and got stuck at the spinning icon
- opened another tab and logged in without a problem
Clearly, something is aging off when attempting to access from Firefox and requires two login attempts to work. Chrome does not appear to be affected which makes me think the issue is in Firefox and not in the Total Wine website.

Same experience this morning as yesterday. It appears to be an issue with firefox but not Chrome or Edge. It appears to happen at the first login attempt for the day.
If you remain logged in for more than a day then it will continue to work but if you log out then firefox will see your next attempt as the first of the day and will hang again.
Still no idea how to fix it but at least you know it isn't just you.

Thank you for your diligence, Bill14564.
I do like Firefox, but it does cause problems with a few sites. Still, as long as I have a work-around...
