I have seen Doc's Restoration recommended in other threads. We talked with them about some work in our home and were pleased with their presentation but finally chose to be our own general contractor.

I have seen ads for Robertos new location, they have moved by the Street Rod store & Little Bits. Rafael's is a new place I do believe at Robertos old location.

Roberto and Rafael split and went their own ways.

We are having this exact scope of work done. We have entered a contract, but the work hasn't been done yet, so I am hesitant to advertise for them yet. If you want more info for them to add another quote (assuming you get quotes from others) feel free to message me.

Suggest Wood Kitchen and Bath, "Wood Kitchen and Bath, LLC provides kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, home remodeling, custom flooring, custom kitchen cabinets, granite countertops. porcelain tile, quartz countertops, and vinyl flooring to residents in The Villages, Citrus Hills, Black Diamond, Inverness, Hernando, and Lecanto in Citrus County, Sumter County, and Marion County." We did a complete remodel of our kitchen 3 years ago and Todd's was professional and managed the entire project. They provided options that we wanted and the more local contractors tried to redirect our needs to what they wanted to sell. https://www.woodkitchenandbath.com/. We also replaced all our appliances through Aggressive Appliances, Luxury & Household Appliances for Sale in Orlando and Central Florida | Aggressive Appliances (https://www.aggressiveappliances.com/). It's amazing what you can find when you get outside The Villages, both in price and quality.

Try Bader Construction. Jim has just completed about $750k on three projects on Isleworth Circle. He is very knowledgeable, gets quick inspections, well versed in the ARC process, good subs, and is on site several times a day. Google Bader Construction in Fruitland Park.

I used Doc’s for a renovation that sounds somewhat similar to what you are planning, I have been extremely pleased with the designer, planner, project managers, and all the workers on the project. Excellent in every respect.

Look up Guidry home improvement. I personally know his work and Donald was married to a family member of mine. He does great work and has pictures of past jobs online. He did repairs for my brother in law after one of the hurricanes in Louisiana prior to moving his business to Florida. Check him out

We used Doc’s Restoration and were completely happy. There was a “manager” assigned to our kitchen redo. We were on a vacation on the west coast while the project was being done. The manger called us and said he wasn’t happy with one part of the work and would have it redone. Job finished on time and very happy with the job done.

If you’re looking at custom,Marco’s Atunes, American Dream Kitchens. Highly recommended and extremely reputable. Sometimes custom vs premade are not that much different in price. He can do everything you mentioned. He has the resources. 30 yrs in business. 352-702-7866.
Robertos is good though I had issues with customer service and a promise he made. He did our LVP.
Also, check Decorating in the Villages on FB. Lots on Marcos. Well worth a conversation with them.
I live in Deluna too. Great location! Never moving again.

I don’t understand why buy house then make major changes costing thousands. Why not buy house that like? When I sell my house I’m not doing nothing because majority of new owners just going to tear it out and redo it to what they like anyway. When I buy house if I think needs any mine changes I do them myself if I got pay someone then I don’t buy the house I find one more to my liking. About every house sold in my neighborhood had major costly redos and that was after the some of owners spent 30K plus preparing if for sale listening to realtors.

I wouldn't pay a general contractor to add a markup on flooring installation throughout the house. Why not hire a separate flooring contractor for this work?

They gave us a quote for a new kitchen and they were at least 25% higher than others. 4 years ago they quoted $85 a square foot for common granite

Are you planning on structural changes or do you have structural damage? If not, in most cases, a general contractor is unnecessary. Most GCs hire out others to do the work required. They merely oversee the project from beginning to end. If you feel comfortable choosing your own cabinets, flooring, etc and have a design in mind, you can skip paying a general contractor. This will save you lots of money. Be on site when the work is being completed to make certain everything meets your expectations. Shop around and get multiple estimates before agreeing to a price. Ask questions! For example, are the cabinets solid wood or particle board? Does the estimate include removal and disposal of old cabinets and flooring? (Some estimates do not) Again, this will save you lots of money, time, and if you pay close attention, you will have quality materials. NEVER EVER PAY FOR THE ENTIRE PROJECT IN ADVANCE. Only pay for material cost as needed and set aside the final payment. Workers do not get paid until the job is done and meets your standards.

About every house sold in my neighborhood had major costly redos and that was after the some of owners spent 30K plus preparing if for sale listening to realtors.Bonds in newer areas are extremely high. A buyer may want to purchase a home with no bond and remodel to their liking. The question when buying a home is: Do I want to pay a $30-70 K bond or do I want to use that money to remodel? In some cases, the decision to remodel is less costly and a smart buyer will have better quality materials.

Doc's Restoration does good work but is always very expensive compared to quotes you would get from other professionals.
