Google it before you do anything about a letter from them.

Looks like a money grab and probably for not much of anything on their end.

If you Google the words Home Warranty Department you will get Police Department warnings about them and stuff on the Better Business Bureau's radar.

I should have done that.

Came in a envelope with no return address on it. Probably so as not to get earmarked by the US Postal Service as organized fraud. They could be legitimate from the look of the fear mongering letter inside. But I have my doubts. They must have gotten our address from somewhere and did know the name of our mortgage company.

They are 888-6951482 Home Cares on bank account as the company. They seem to be spoofing legitimate companies. Maybe they are on the up-and-up but I doubt it.

They are not Cince Services which looks legitimate.

They also go as Home Warranty Services.

Number I called them at yesterday was 1-800-692-4491. Google says SCAM.

Not to be confused with The Villages HWD…..right?Correct, if you get a loan on your new/used home, afterwards you get inundated with these “home warranty” company mailings that put the name of your mortgage company on it to look legitimate. No idea what they really want and I usually shredded them.

LOL. Even "legitimate" home warranty companies are not legitimate. They are a ripoff.

I did show one of our local Villagers bankers the Home Warranty Department letter when I visited in person to get a new bank card after I had had to cancel the old one.

She did not say anything.

Home Warranty Services. Got a booklet from them and called the number which takes a message but repeats the phone number and name you give them. I called it a number of time in January and a few in February telling them to cancel my contract. They say an agent will call you back but exactly when that happens could be the next day.

Yesterday I finally got an agent coming after the first month 's payment and I told him I had called them repeatedly to cancel the contract. He said he would call back in fifteen minutes. It has been a long fifteen minutes from Friday afternoon.

Their e-mail address does not work. They the seller of the Omega Homecare which looks on the up-and-up. I put that contract on hold on the 17th of January, 2025. I do not want it as I want nothing to do with Home Warranty Services.

This company does seem to target seniors. Home Warranty Services. Their Better Business Bureau profile has 17 pages of complaints.

Very expensive insurance even if from a reputable company.

Not sure if they are reputable. It has been a pain communicating with them. Now having to deal with their billing department. But also an agent. My phone records will show I called them multiple times telling them to cancel my contract. But I have had trouble reaching a person other than whatever that recorded line is. It does get my name and phone number and reads it back and says an agent will get back to me. But when that agent actually calls back could be any time. Usually the next day.

One thing I didn’t realize about the villages home warranty dept. until I heard Don Wiley mention it, if you have an issue with something in you new home, the person who installed that comes to your home. That one way they monitor by seeing how many calls a particular provider gets. Too many calls they get the boot.

This is why we prefer having control over who services our appliances.

They were just the seller of the contract. The Home Warranty company Omega HomeCare could be more reliable.
