Hello and Happy New Year. We are having new furniture delivered next week and need to have a couch and recliner removed and hauled away. Does anyone know of someone who does this? Thanks in advance. :)

If the current furniture is in good shape, you could call Bargains and Treasures. They will assess it and if it can be sold, they will give you a potential sale price and haul it away for you, Should it sell, they keep a percentage of the sale price and you get the rest. They will explain the process to you if this is an option.

If it’s trash TV does it for $10 billed to your Community bill. Just call them and set it up.

Great suggestion. If they don’t offer you a satisfactory deal, just put the furniture at the end of your driveway the day before trash pickup and watch it disappear. The dumpster divers will take it away.

Marketplace “free”. Put on the villages facebook page Buy Nothing The Villages. I put furniture on Marketplace for free and it went in one day!

Also on Craigslist.com "free" category (for the Ocala listing, which covers The Villages) and you'll likely get a quick response.

if you are in Sumter County, call bulk pickup. they will give you a pickup date ( item must be placed at the end of driveway) and will charge $ 10 on your amenities bill. If someone takes the item from your driveway before the pickup date, just call bulk pickup and cancel.

Have you checked with the store you bought the new furniture from if they have a service to take the old stuff away? White's Furniture on 441 has that service.

Also true for TV folks in Marion Cty.

If it's in decent shape, please consider donating to Restoring Hope Thrift Shop (Combat Veterans to Careers). Proceeds help our returning veterans (352) 748-1855

If in good shape call any one of the many thrift stores in the area. They will pick up.

I believe Furniture Barn typically gives a better price for your furniture

We used Furniture Barn Consignment several years ago to get rid of a sectional. I know it says consignment but an employee came to look at it offered a price right then and there. It was picked up in a few days.

Why isn’t the company you bought the new furniture from hauling away the old stuff?

Jake's Junk. He and his son will come haul away. You can find him on this site.
