Disappointed

After getting estimate on removing tree from front yard made appt with Tree Service and got estimate. We made arrangements to have work done the following week and 30 mins after appt he called saying he had problems and would show the “next” day. The next day came and went with us waiting all day only to have him not show up or even call.

It amazes me the people that could care less about reputation much less keeping customers.

We have since hired another company “VIllage Palms” who were reliable, courteous, on time and did a fantastic job.

"Just a shout out to “A-1 United Tree Service” as I finally decided to get them to cut large trees that had overgrown from The Villages trees that “they’ (The Villages) refused to cut even though it was clearly their trees over growing into my yard.
James Irwin (owner) of Tree Service also agreed to trim palm trees, cut back hedges and pull up overgrown bushes as when he arrived (for estimate) he had 3 LARGE trucks and 8 men coming from a different job and gave me a terrific price being a perfect gentleman and doing a A+ job as well as clean up.
Just give him a call. You won’t be disappointed. ( 352 ) 460-3763."

So, they do great work. But now you don't like them because something happened. Got it.

I'm sorry you are disappointed. But I would never wait all day for a contractor to show up. If he couldn't set a reasonable appointment time, I would have told him that I will hire another company.

Most all companies should text/call before arrival. If they cannot provide a text or courtesy call move on.

We used Ace Tree Service out of Fruitland Park for two huge tree removals. Phone 352-787-9390. Father and son. Son is an arborist. They gave a very fair estimate, arrived on time and clean-up was exceptional. Their equipment was just what was needed to remove the trees and chip smaller branches. They hauled away large trunks. I would call them back for whatever tree service we need in the future. Neighbors used them also after seeing their work on our trees. 10 stars!

so, they do great work. But now you don't like them because something happened. Got it. i realize all estimates are not the same.....but you clearly described what they did, 8 men, etc and i think most people realize a 'terrific price' is a big variable to every individual. Bottom line what did it cost you? Thanks

I Never Understand why PRICE is such a big secret.

We ALL KNOW that the height and circumference and TYPE of tree matters, but why not say... they did it all for less than 500, but my trees didn't need stump grinded.

Same goes for... removal of bathroom mirrors, driveway art.

Don't keep $ a secret. THX

I agree. I even started a thread on it. Apparently, some people think that saying the contractor's price was "reasonable" is an adequate description. It isn't. Why not just say how much you paid?
