Since CBS News (on Sixty Minutes) replaced Kamala’s word salad non-answer with an answer to a different question, I will never give CBS a second of my time. Never. They lost every ounce of creditability they ever had. So bye bye to Nora.

Nora was our favorite. We record her every night and rarely miss an episode. Her show was excellent, never takes a political stance, just tries to impartially report the news. Lester Holt will be our new daily half hour of somewhat impartial news. We’re going to miss Nora.

Slightly slanted but nothing like MSNBC nor like FOX.

I’m surprised there is still a 6:30 evening news show at all especially with CBS having their CBS 24/7 channel on free apps like Pluto. Heck, even the locals covers the national news forgoing the local news topics, IMO. From what I read they pay large salaries for people to report the news to a non audience at 6:30 so something has to give.

That is 100% true. I watch multiple channels to obtain a wide range of opinions (knowing that they are ALL prejudiced)....not to agree or disagree with any specific political ideology, but to try and understand why the people in my orbit say the things they do, and to recognize the media's amazing influence on shaping public opinion. That being said, I think that Jesse Watters on FOX at 8 PM has a great sense of humor and his show is incredibly entertaining. There is something in every broadcast that makes me chuckle (either what he says, how he says it, or even some of the captions on the bottom of the screen). It's the only show that I watch or record every night, but I don't consider it news.

She "saw the wring on the wall" . Her salary was recently reduced from $8 Million to less than $4 Million. Additional cutting will probably happen when the new owners of CBS/Paramount take over shortly.

IMO - To Each Their Own.
Most of these comments seem to be vague and personal. Will not change anyone's opinion or actions. So Be It. There is still so much division, and it's disheartening. Just like "the Parties", most Media takes sides and caters to their audience.
Ratings certainly show the facts where viewership is moving. Network news media is taking huge hits, as are several "Cable News" media. Facts are facts and Media is driven by ratings. And due to lower ratings in key groups, some of these are facing layoffs, cutbacks, or sales of Divisions.
So be it. We, here, will continue our personal News sources - a variety of cable/on line sources. Personally we discount those sources that have shown BIAS in their reporting, and avoid them.
It's a great country - we have CHOICES.

How many redactions has nbc/cbs/abc/cnn/msnbc had to do? Check it out, these are normally done at 2am in the morning.
I have watched a couple of trumps speeches that were mandatory for the cnn/MSNBC/cbs/abc news to air and in multiple cases, the network muted the speech but had a panel telling their audience what Trump was saying, which was their opinion and since I was bouncing around different channels, their interpretation was inaccurate.

Lots of different opinions. By far MSNBC is the most left with Madcow the worst and others close behind. CNN since the election has 2 republicans on there late night panel show and stuffed trump hater Acosta to midnight shift. O’Donnell certainly lean left. Holt remarked in an interview you don’t have to hear both sides to make an informed decision. Almost admitted asking Hillary soft questions in debate with Trump.

CNN just lost a lawsuit for defamation against a veteran who was evacuating people when the US military quickly abandoned Afghanistan.
During the trial some of the internal messages of CNN revealed a great deal of animosity by the staff. The producer commented that the main subject of the piece had a "punchable face". The correspondent said "We gonna nail this Zachary Young mf*****," about him.
Most news programs today have conservative or liberal leanings. It only becomes a serious problem when accuracy falls victim to promoting their ideology.

I agree that Fox could be a little biased to the right but MSNBC and CNN are super biased to the left! Along with the MSM. I just saw on meet the press where somebody was bitching that Trump didn't bring down grocery prices yet! Huh?
I periodically switch from Fox to MSNBC and CNN to see how stories are presented by the other networks. It seems since Trump got in the others never even show him like when he was talking to the people in LA from the fire. Nothing on MSNBC about it. So I ask everybody to periodically take turns what a big event happens. Watch for 30 minutes and see for yourself what you think

ALL media is agenda driven propoganda (on the left and right). If you don't get your news from both, they refer to you as a useful idiot ... just like the gullable Germans of the 1930s. Unfortunately, Journalism (and Walter Cronkite are long dead).

Over time these stations have degenerated into the equivalent of state run propaganda organs, Pravda and Izvestia, in the USSR back in its day. Many years ago they were a little leftish, but we knew it and they were all we had. Even good old trusted Walter Cronkite was biased.
