I do not have an immediate needs for a hospice service, but a family member may need one in the near term, and so I'm trying to be proactive by doing some research.

I am researching both inpatient (both short- and longer-term) and in-home services that accept (Original) Medicare.

So far, I have found positive online ratings for The Villages Hospice House, which offers in-home and short-term (one week or less) inpatient services. I would like to find at least one more recommended service.

I have seen positive reviews online for American Wildwood and Comfort Keepers, although there aren't many reviews for those facilities.

Reviews for Vitas Healthcare and The Willows are poor, although there are very few reviews, so those ratings might not be meaningful.

Cornerstone Hospic Palliative Care gets so-so reviews.

Regarding location, my search is prioritizing facilities closest to Sumter Landing or Buena Vista Blvd & 466.

Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

We used Cornerstone for both in home and in house and they were outstanding.

dhsmith, thank you very much for the reply.

May I ask which Cornerstone in-house facility you used? Was it Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care at 601 Mariposa Way?

Cornerstone took care of our neighbor Peggy when she was passing and later took care of my wife's mother when she was passing. They were excellent in both cases. I can't recommend them enough.

Thank you very much for the reply, JerryLBell.

May I ask whether Cornerstone provided an in-home or in-patient service, or both?

If in-patient, do you happen to know which facility? The one on Mariposa Way?
