Whenever you go, try to monitor the labor situation if you can. We went to Peru last year, got to Cusco, but couldn't go to Machu Pichu because of a labor strike blocking access to the trains (and we could not hike in). Evidently workers do this periodically because it gives them great leverage. In was still a fantastic trip and we saw great sites, but no Machu Pichu....we may have to go back.

They ran an ad in the Sunday's Daily Sun's travel section. It says "The Best Value For 33 Years" . You would think there would be something, good or bad, about them on the internet if they have been around that long. I'd be real skeptical about their legitimacy.

We have the same question for Happening Travel trip to Antartica. Their ad in The Villages Daily Sun states that they have been around for 33 years. I am trying to communicate via eMail, but they are not very responsive????

Just my opinion. If a company is unresponsive BEFORE I travel they get kicked to the side quickly.

happening.travel, very strange internet address. . .

description:
Happening Travel Club is a Non-profit (501c3) Travel Club which is operated through our Non- Profit (501c3) mission of helping our community raise funds while they travel. Our suppliers make available free turn-key travel programs where they will provide trips to be used as revenue fundraisers. We have a popular television where we focus on sharing expert knowledge and inspire viewers to explore the world, demonstrating a deep commitment to promoting travel and cultural awareness. Through the television show, we ensure that audiences are well-informed about the latest travel trends, tips, and opportunities, solidifying their reputation as a trusted authority in the travel industry.

I would be very skeptical about this organization. They are using you to raise finds for some community, and i am guessing the community is the one person running the non profit. . . It doesn't state the community. .

nothing to see here, move along!
