Outdoor machines are free. Anywhere else there is a fee to use equipment. Try anytime fitness, it’s reasonable

Fenney Rec. has them, you have to join and pay the monthly fee to use them as they are not included in your amenity fees.

Paradise has an outdoor fitness area (across the street and one block closer to the golf cart bridge).
Next to the Hacienda Sports Pool, they recently installed an outdoor fitness area.
I'm pretty sure some of the newer Village rec areas have them too but I don't know which ones.
These are mostly calisthenics machines that work off your own body weight, plus an abdominal twist plate and a couple of ellipticals that have no resistance adjustments.
Free weights are only available at mini-fitness centers in some of the regional rec centers, and there's a fee to use those mini-fitness centers.

Any of the locations with a Fit Club (https://www.districtgov.org/programs/fit-club/) (you must pay a membership fee).
Ezell, Fenney, etc.

I don’t know your age, but if you’re a senior and you have the right health plan some gyms are covered.

Not sure about how many rec centers have weight machines, but only 1 in 3 rec centers has Zumba. You are invited to check out Free Zumba Gold classes online w/ Elizabeth. Just send an email to zumba@careconnectusa.org. Say, "I live in the Villages, and I want to try Zumba at Home. She'll send you the LIVE links for the coming week.

I have United Health Care, I joined the Genesis Health Clube about 2 years ago, they have all the equipment you would want, plus private trainers, group sessions, even massage rooms.
When I signed up and ask what the monthly fee would be they told me that my health insurance covered it. The only thing I paid for was a couple of sessions with a private trainer.
Check with your health care plan.

"Free weights" does not refer to money being charged, it's about being able to carry the weights around, not attached to anything.

Free weights, not free access
