I'm finally able to stay in TV more than 2 weeks at a time. I'm here for 6 weeks and then officially retiring at the end of April!
Plus my middle daughter, son-in-law, and new grandson are here for a month...
He turned 3 months old 01/29/2025...

Congratulations, time will fly here. We’ve been here for 5 weeks and it seems like we got here a couple days ago. Pretty soon you won’t call your time in the Villages a “visit”, it will be time at your home : )

Congrats on the longer stay, we just did our first complete January in TV, and came home to single digit temps, and will be working on prepping the two houses we have to sell as soon as possible, after the weather warms up to a reasonable number starting with a 4. .
Had a great time in much warmer weather, though we forgot the electric blanket to heat the bed up before climbing in

Congratulations and welcome to The Villages
AS a new comers our self all I can say is, remember this is a lifestyle change, not a cruise ship, where your trying to get it all done before the cruise is over.
Take time to relax and enjoy all the fun and excitement

I would suggest finding a group with courts for your pickleball play. The pickleball courts are slammed in the morning. It’s the worst I’ve seen it since I started playing. 3 games in 2 hours. Long lines and slow play.

Pickleball and I have a "love hate" relationship...
2 years ago, playing my 2nd game on my late February visit, I tore my plantar fascia...
It took 3 months to heal... I posted a thread about it...
I prefer golf, but I'll give p-ball another shot soon...

Make sure you stretch out good before PB especially Achilles. Don’t stretch for balls you can’t reach…
