Yes go somewhere else. They are crazy expensive! Try American Dream Cabinetry and compare. Or any other remodeling company.

Ask whomever you decide to go with if they have an electrician to relocate the switches and outlets and make sure the holes are the correct size, I have seen 2 or 3 projects where the holes were too large and the electrical boxes had to be jury rigged to stay in place. In another case the hole was moved and the wires were too short. Also if you decide to get a new sink, check to see if they have a plumber if the air trap needs to be relocated.

I used Doc’s for significant renovations in my house and am very pleased. They were attentive, professional, managed the work teams and I was totally happy with everything. Every work team was high quality and did their work as scheduled. No complaints, and I did not find the costs our of line at all.

There have been many positive comments about Doc's in past threads. We asked them for an estimate for some work and were impressed with their presentation. However, in the end we chose to be our own general contractor rather than pay Doc's price.
We only had a couple minor issues that were not too difficult to resolve. If we had gone with Doc's they would have worked to resolve the issues for us.

Rafael on 301 in Oxford. He did our floors thru out with wood last March. Just completed our 2 baths.
Craftsmanship is outstanding and customer service the best. You talk to Rafael direct. Can’t be more pleased.
Crews cleaned up each day. The demo was seamless. No delays in scheduling. 2 weeks for both baths and laundry room floor. Tile guys know their trade.
“Do not” confuse Rafael with Roberto’s. They are two separate companies now.
I had Roberto’s come to give an estimate and when I called back with questions zero return call.
Get several estimates. Rafael is very fair pricing.

Meant to add Rafaels painted our kitchen and bath cabinets which now look brand new plus new counters. I used a leather granite for kitchen counter and backsplash. Took pony wall down.
Their granite fabricator Angel is the best. She is knowledgeable about the biz and her guys matched up the flow of the big pieces to perfection. Everyone comments how unique it looks.
I didn’t want quartz. Had in past and to me it’s a step up from cultured marble. Cheaper quartz will scratch.

They do excellent work but also charge top dollar. A good option for some, but not for others.

If you already hired them kind of late now to ask. Where were they compared to the other quotes and who did you feel most comfortable

Any company that takes out full page ads in the Daily Sun on a regular basis is probably charging more for their services than most.

They bid on our kitchen and baths. Were 50% hgher than others and admitted that they were higher. For a 1-2 trade job(like yours) go to a a kitchen re modeler

We used Ultimate Granite for all our countertops. They take care of the whole job including the plumbing. Zero complaints.

We used Doc's for our kitchen and bathroom. Yes, they were expensive but work was without question well done. We had few issues and Doc's took care of them without question. And they returned our calls quickly. All positive for Doc's except price.

We hired Doc's Restoration for a very small job. We could not find another company who would take it on. Doc's also hesitated but gave us a quote which we thought was high, but not outrageous, and we had no one to compare it to. Many people would have done a project of our size themselves, or hired a handyman, but we were new to this area, not DIYers, and did not know who to trust. Our experience with Doc's was that (for this small job) we received over-the-top quality, workmanship, professionalism, and follow-up. Everyone who entered our home treated us like we were their most important customer. Someone from Doc's made an appointment with us about a week or two after the completion of the job. They CAREFULLY inspected the work, asked us if we were happy, had us sign a document that the job was complete and collected the outstanding balance (which I think was half, but I can't remember for sure). Other than (possibly) the price, there is nothing that we can complain about. In fact, we were blown away. We would use Doc's again. I compare them to T&D. You know you are going to pay more, but you know you will be happy with the end result. With one exception. T&D has far less COMPARABLE competition, where there appears to be many quality home remodeling companies to choose from that might be less expensive than Doc’s. So, if the OP's question is about quality, workmanship, follow-up, customer satisfaction, etc. Doc's is an A++ (probably even higher), in my opinion. If the question is about price, you might do better, but since we had no one to compare their price to, I can't say for sure. If the question is value for the price paid, I'd still give them an A++. It's been about a year since Doc's completed our job, and every time I look at it (many times a day), I still admire the way it turned out. I'd definitely consider them for a large project, now that I know the quality of work they do. I hope this answered the OP's question and he or she finds it helpful.

We hired Doc’s to reface our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They were a little bit more expensive, but did a complete job and were totally worth it. They didn’t ask for payment until we had lived with the cabinets for a bit and were sure there weren’t any problems. We had one service issue 3 years later which was taken care of promptly and efficiently. We’d hire them again.

We used Doc’s for two baths and some kitchen work and was very happy with their work. They don’t even start the job until they have everything on site so work went smoothly with no waiting on materials, etc. Many of our neighbors have used them and recommended them to us. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them.

We had our kitchen and two baths done. Docs was ridiculously expensive and their showroom was lacking. We used Ultimate Granite. They did great work and were priced very competitively.

Hmmmm had them in May 2024 to re-caulk my lanai windows. Very messy job done. Also to re-hang a bathroom cabinet mirror. They didn’t remove the old glue, simply added some & the whole thing crashed to the floor at 1:30 in the morning scaring me to death. In fairness after complaining to the supervisor they replaced the entire medicine cabinet with mirror at no cost to me. However as my experience was negative I won’t be using them again.

I tried to use them a couple of years ago. I felt I had a good rapport with the sales lady. My initial bid was acceptable. Then in a few days after I signed the contract, the price went up $500 with no good reason. Then few days after that, it went up another $4700.00 with again no good reason. I looked more and got it done for $7,500 less. Good Luck

When my business gave quotes, some folks said other companies could do it cheaper than us. I’d tell em, “do you want it done cheap or do you want it done right?” In 25 years, never had any major issues. To have the best craftsmen, you have to pay them well as you get what you pay.

One doesn't have to pay $2k more to get quality work. I, like another poster, found their showroom to be lacking and prices not in the normal range. Central FL Kitchen and Bath did an outstanding job for me and I didn't even have to pay them extra for doing good work!

I used Doc' Restoration to install new countertops, light fixtures, mirrors, faucets and paint the bathrooms. In addition, I removed the bathtub from the guest bath and installed a walk-in shower. The work was outstanding. They established a time frame and each day you knew who would be working in your home. The company also provides a warranty for all work. At the end of the project, a person inspects the work. One item that a number of people overlook is whether the contractor is insured, and bonded. Doc's is insured and bonded. I would use them again for a project. Highly recommend.

We had our kitchen redone by docs. The project was started while we were on the West Coast trip. Through our cameras, we could see the work that was being done and also the follow up checks done by the project manager. My brother-in-law came and looked at some of the work and sent us a message that something didn't look quite right. On his own, the project manager was in the house and texted us that he's gonna have some work redone it did not meet his satisfaction. 100% professional 100% worth the money.

Yes, they are pricey but trustworthy and back up their work. We felt fine about leaving the home while they did the kitchen remodel. Workers were prompt and ontime. Work down efficiently and they cleaned up any mess.

They did a major remodel for us to make home ADA compliant. Wife is wheelchair bound. Superb work. You deal directly with a Project Manager. Job took 3 months! But as I said … MAJOR work done!

We used Docs for our kitchen renovation. They used top quality products, and the coordination between all workers and project manager was outstanding. Our counters went in, plumber arrived and installed sink perfectly. At one point I had a painter and tile installer at the same time, and if one saw any flaw in each others work, they would point it out until everything was perfect. Would not hesitate to use them again.

We are using them now for master bathroom. Sick of hiring the cheap guy and getting lousy results. Docs may cost more but they standby their work and are very professional. Had a grout company regrout shower six months ago…..everything cracking and falling apart in chunks. Decided to rip the whole thing out and have a new shower put in …..paying a lot but confident that it will get done correctly.

We have used Docs many times over the past several years to do a total renovation of the inside of our house.
They replaced the carpeting with luxury vinyl,
They painted all rooms
They redid all our bathrooms installing Bella showers and new quartz countertops
They redid our kitchen counters and opened up the kitchen by removing a wall.
We were happy with everything they did, particularly the quality of the work and the management of all the trades.
We also used their handyman service to repaint our light pole.
I would use them again in a heartbeat.
