Burgess drive and the some of turnpike side villas have a lot of activity and pumps for days. Also saw a large waterfall into pond from a street off Marsh bend trail this morning . Not inspiring confidence in recently built infrastructure.

They could be addressing an actual issue. But, The Villages has an inspection program for infrastructure, including the storm drain system. My understanding is that the cameras they use can only be used in dry pipes, so if this was an inspection of any sort (whether as part of the program or to address a leak of some sort), they would have to drain the lines, presumably to the nearest retention pond.

According to some of the workmen...At the 2 year anniversary after construction of a village the developer turns over the support and maintenance of the streets and storm water infrastructure over to the city. In this case the city of Wildwood.
Before the city will accept this responsibility they inspect everything to ensure all is in proper working order. Required repairs are done by several third parties and paid for by the developer.

Correct, this resulted in the replacement of several storm drains in Monarch Grove.
