Which is the better app to use when using your golf cart, The Villages App or The Villages GPS?

We never used the paid app, but the free one has always worked well for us, on both Apple and Android devices.

I like the paid app. The nav screen is easier to see and manage for upcoming turns etc. I don't dislike the free one at all. I paid the 8 bucks to try it and have used both a bunch but I always tend to the paid app.

We started using the TV app, but found it was slow to update (causing multiple turnarounds). This was on 2 different phones with 2 different carriers. So now we use both!

Never had a problem with the Villages GPS. We have been using it for years. It’s free.

The paid app is so much better as it has more info as well as it is constantly updated. After all, you get what you pay for.

The paid app is what I use. It was created and is updated by a group of villagers. It is not from The Villages.

The free Villags app...the green one...has given me lots of trouble when navigating south of the turnpike towards Shallow Creek golf course. Mostly it seems to get stuck and repeats a direction multiple times...like up to a dozen times in a row...meanwhile we've made the turn it has requested and if a new direction is quick to follow the requested turn we've sometimes missed it because the app is stuck in a auditory loop. North of the turnpike it works fine. The paid app...the blue one..does not have issues south of the turnpike.

The problem with that is that the directions may take you on a route that golf carts are not allowed….

Dangerous to say the least . And expensive if the PoPo 👮 decides to give a summons for the violation…
