I would contact home warranty first to see if they have info on the type of wood, stain or paint, etc., and confirm that you are responsible for the fence repair. Once you have this info, if you cannot do the repair, some of the handyman on this site should be able to do the repair.

We border on a nature corridor and have a fence on the back edge of our property which is, in theory, maintained by The Villages. If this is your situation, contact the district office to see about getting someone to come to repair and paint. In nine years, we have had maintenance crews here twice, the most recent was a few months ago. FYI, I have put in new screws and painted the fence on occasion since the sun here is brutal.

Curious how this works out for you. I know we called multiple times on the fence behind our house. They finally came out & did a 1/2 a**ed job on the boards. Painted what they “repaired” only. I understand we are responsible for painting our side of the fence. They never did their side. Stain they use is available at Florida Paints (a Villages company). But Sherwin Williams is much better quality. This includes paint for your home.
