Good morning and thanks for reading this.

I am closing on a home in Duval, very shortly.

There is a magnolia in the front yard. Uncertain as to the varietal and I have ZERO experience with them.

I understand that they shed their large leaves, around the calendar.

Must these be picked up or do they get mulched into the lawn, when my mowing service comes through?

I'm used to being able to mulch birch and maple leaves, but perceive that this might be a totally different beast.

Again, thank you for reading.

I’d recommend speaking with your new neighbors as to what the previous owner did.

Magnolia leaves big and thick….takes a while for them to decompose vs other leaves.

Those leaves are as thick as leather. I don’t think they mulch all the way in.
